We Meet Again

I'm sorry...again

"I'll be back, yeah?" I kissed Lilith before jumping out.

Lilith gave me an empty building address. Rumbling was heard inside, I dropped, "Oh! There you are! My favorite mediocre hero." He laughed.

"You killed your sister."

"Oh, please, we both know that's a lie!" He laughed louder, "You think I'm stupid?" I ran to him, but he quickly ducked. He threw me over the table where all his tools were and wrapped his hands around my neck. I kicked his stomach making him fall back, "Are you in love with her?" He asked. I punched him in the face, making him fall to his knees, "She's using you! It was all planned!" He chuckled. I kicked his face.

I turned around to the table and saw a backpack. A red backpack. I opened it and saw a bunch of wires. I placed the backpack on my back. When I turned around, Demain was holding a gun, "I'll tell my sister you said hello." His finger was placed on the trigger when Lilith stood in front of me, "No!" I yelled trying to run towards her, but it was too late. She dropped to the ground, "No!" I let out an exaggerated scream. I ran towards Demain and punched his face again and again, letting all of my anger out on him. I grabbed him by the collar, "You killed her!" I yelled with tears in my eyes, "You fucking killed her!" I cried, "How could you?" I smashed his head onto the floor, "You killed her!" I fell back in tears.

Lilith panted.

I ran towards her, "Lilith," I ripped her shirt, "No, no." I placed pressure over her wound, "No, please, you can't! Not again! You can't die again!" I moved the hair out of her face. I grabbed my phone to call 911.

"911, what is your emergency?"

"My girlfriend, she's dying! Please!"

"Alright, sir, you need to relax, could you please tell me your address?"I gave her the address, "Alright, sir, police are on their way." She said, "How is your girlfriend dying, Sir?"

"She was shot! He shot her in the neck, what do I do?" I yelled.

"Sir, just apply pressure on the wound, paramedics and police will be on their way. Stay on the phone with me." I threw the phone beside me, and cradled Lilith, "My girl." I kissed her forehead, "You'll always be my girl." I cradled her.

Lilith died that day.

My identity was revealed that day.

A week later, I stood in front of Lilith's grave, "I never asked you to be my girlfriend, did I?" I scoffed, "I was just about to, believe me." My throat got in a knot, "I'm sorry." I cried, "I'm sorry for making you go through this again, but I will look for you in every universe." I wiped the tears on my eye, "I'll take care of everyone for you. I'll, um, never forget your galaxy eyes...well, this time the ocean," I wiped the tears off my eyes, "My girl." I said before walking away.
