chapter twelve

a week has passed and every day that past is just memorable for taeyong. jaehyun always spends time with him, together with ruby, their daughter.

taeyong doesn't want to think that the reason why jaehyun was doing this is because taeyong might already be near to go home.

there's no day that he won't see the portal, but when he was with jaehyun, the portal wasn't there. but the portal is just useless if taeyong himself doesn't want to go home.

"jae, have you already visited our world?" taeyong asked as he looked up at the younger one, the two of them were currently cuddling inside jaehyun's room.

"yes, baby." he nodded, eyes closed. "we used to spend our time there back then."

"love, if ever i come back home..." taeyong said, which made jaehyun open his eyes. "do you think we could still meet?" he asked.

"that's so random, love." jaehyun said and looked at him.

"jae, we know that i don't actually live here. that i came here accidentally." taeyong said calmly.

"i know," jaehyun said. "and thinking about it made me hurt, love."

"why?" he frowned.

because it might take a long time to see you again.

"nothing, i'm just overacting sometimes." he smiled, taeyong immediately glared at him, pouting.

jaehyun let out a giggles and leaned a kiss on his forehead, taeyong hugged him tighter. it's already late and both of them were already sleepy.

"thank you for letting me feel those things, love..." taeyong whispered.

the younger one didn’t respond anymore and just hugged him, and didn't want to let him go. jaehyun knows that taeyong will finally come back home two weeks from now. that's why he doesn't want to waste all the time he only had to be with taeyong.

while taeyong, even his eyes were already closed. his mind is still awake. the question inside his mind is, "why didn't he take the chance to come back home?" is still bothering him. how his parents now? how are doyoung and haechan? are they doing fine? his bakery?

many questions are still inside his head but the only thing he did is he chose to stay here, he chose to be with jaehyun. with the guy he made him feel the freedom, the love, and everything.

but he knows that in the end, the decision of not going back home is the decision he needs to make in the end.

and these thoughts were heard by jaehyun.

the next morning, taeyong woke up with jaehyun's gone beside him. jaehyun might have already left since he said last night that they were going to go somewhere.

"hi, baby ruby." he greeted when he saw the dog inside the kitchen.

"tae, want to visit the beach today?" ten asked.

"can we?" his eyes widened.

"of course, duh." his eyes rolled. "the others were already getting some clothes to wear, do the same too." he smiled.

"yey! finally!" he said happily and ran out of the kitchen.

ten couldn't help not to smile as he watched taeyong running, he just shook his head and continued preparing the foods that they will bring later.
