3rd PERSON POV

As Makima grew she began to understand the world around her more.

The laws and hierarchies that were set in place was something that she would change. It was so obvious who were the ones that needed to be leashed. If no one was going to step up to ensure the safety of the normal people, then she would simply step up to the plate. Who needs Purebloods that are so below her?

Purebloods.

Vampires.

Hunters.

Humans.

They're all inferior to her, and she was going to show them so.

...

She finally found the location of the Hunter's Association Headquarters. It took the birds a few days to be able to locate her old master and even more days to wait for him to finish his mission and go back to the association. Afterwards she teleported herself to one of the vague rooms in the building and started to explore using the few insects that where inside.

She commanded those insects to explore and specifically search for every room that had human activity. Makima made her way the building carefully avoiding any of the higher ups that could suspect her reason of being here and made where her master was talking to the President. She walked and walked until she was in front of the large wooden door that separated the President and her from seeing each other.

She opened the large door and came inside, "Understand that we need you to get rid of her—"

The conversation stopped and she could see both her 'master' and the President looking at her with confusion. Toga flinched before his confused expression disappeared and all he did was look at the President. Makima looked at the President straight in the face and told him one thing.

"Make a contract with me."

...

The President was mindlessly scribbling an official statement that made Makima the new President of the Hunter's Association by his request and last wish as he was to retire due to a wound that Makima had given him. The contract with him had gone just fine, and it proved to her just how much of her connection to her past life she still had even if she was reborn in a past setting with very different surroundings. After the President was done she grabbed his hunter weapon before shooting him in the head.

Her promotion was his suicide note after all. She grabbed Toga's jacket and both of them walked away before he drove her to Kaien's house before leaving. She opened the door and was met with the worried face of her 'father' he looked at her, analyzing her before he spoke. "Were where you?"

She smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, I had a nightmare and went on a walk."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"You were asleep, I couldn't simply wake you up because I couldn't sleep."

"You're my daughter it's okay if you woke me up. I rather have that than being frightened by the lack of my daughter in the house!"

"I'm sorry..." Kaien sighed and simply patted her head which made Makima flinch unconsciously, not used to the physical affection of her adoptive guardian. "Just don't let this incident repeat, okay?" she nodded and he moved aside to let her inside the house. Makima went to her room and slept.

She'll need to rethink some of her plans.

oOo

Makima was woken up from her sleep by Yuki, "Come on Makima. We have to go to class!" she wiped the drool of her face and looked at the hour, "Yuki, it's barely 6:15 in the morning, class doesn't start until 8:45 why wake up so early?"
