The Level E used the fact that Yuki put her back on it and jumped on her. Makima moved to the side and aimed the gun to shoot before she smelled some Pocky and the hint of some flowers with the smell of old papers came and there she saw two vampires slice the head of the Level E right off.

The level E's blood splattered on the ground before it turned to ash and was blown away by the wind. Makima as well as Yuki turned their had to see at the vampires that had just arrived. Seeing the blonde and mahogany colored hair on the vampires Yuki stuttered out their names, "Takuma-san? Senri-san? What are you doing here?"

Senri ignored them while Takuma smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, I was looking for you all over the school but was told you might be here. Anyways, I wanted to invite you to come to my birthday party, it's happening later during the night." Makima raised an eyebrow at that, seems that a certain Pureblood wanted Yuki to attend the party and not one of his toys. "Well—"

"Absolutely not," Makima cut Yuki off which earned her an annoyed look from Yuki in return. "Oh," the blonde sounded a bit hurt, but Makima could tell that it was simply him being fake. The Pureblood had ordered him to get Yuki, but Makima had no intention in letting Yuki go to a party full of vampires not when she doesn't even have the proper training to kill them or properly defend herself. Though Makima doubted that the Pureblood would allow Yuki from getting hurt, Yuki does tend to get herself into problems everywhere she goes, so it wouldn't be ideal to let her go at all.

"Can we go?" Yuki asked her again once they left the vampires and made their way back to the academy. Makima put on a pondering face, while she didn't want to go, she knew that Yuki wouldn't stop bothering her unless they went or she was told no by their caregiver, "How about this, we ask the chairman for permission and if he lets us go we'll attend the party after our night patrol. Sounds good?"

"Yeah!"

...

Makima walked alongside Yuki as they made their way to the party. It seemed like the Pureblood really wanted Yuki to come to his subject's party as an excuse to see her as the noble had actually come to Kaien's office and asked for their permission to attend his party. Takuma didn't wait for them to go to the academy so when Makima and Yuki went to ask him for permission, he mentioned how he had already said they were going to the party to the noble. So, when they put the groceries away they decided to get ready to do their night patrol and when they finished they walked together to the Moon Dorm's and waited at the gate.

She paused before facing her sister, "Yuki, I want you to stay by my side during the party. I can feel many vampires present. It seems that some of them might've come from outside the academy, and I'm not taking any chances of you getting hurt." Yuki opened her mouth to protest but Makima quickly silenced her, "This is an order, it is not up to discussion." Yuki's eyes glozed over for a bit before she agreed and both entered the gates once they were opened for them.

Makima followed the scent of vampire and blood tablets leading the way while Yuki followed closely behind her. The first thing that she saw were vampires drinking red-colored drinks in champagne glasses while they were talking to each other, there was some classical music playing keeping the mood light-hearted, and some of the attendees were even drinking each other's blood. That soon changed when the vampires noticed them. Their talking was silenced as they simply stared at them as if hoping that if they stared enough they would go away, there was a bit of tension amongst them as in the vampire's minds Makima and Yuki were in their space.

Noticing the tension one of the Pureblood's puppets, Takuma, went towards them. "I'm glad you were able to make it! Welcome, welcome, I hope that you enjoy yourselves here!" he cheered as he motioned them to follow him to where his friends, and the students that they knew, where hanging at. They seemed to be close to where a certain Pureblood was sitting, looking above everyone at the party as if they were below him. As they walked, Makima ignored the hostile glares that were aimed at her and Yuki as they were getting closer and closer to the presence of the Pureblood.
