tw: homophobic slurs and bullying

he might be closer than you think.

Jimin groaned as he stared at the boys in his class, trying to feel a glimmer of spark from any of them.

One of the boy had his nose burried inside an attack on titan manga, another was sleeping, then there was a boy who was flirting with a girl in the front of the class.

He thought it would be a good idea to start the mission of finding a real boyfriend from his class, but now it didn't look easy.

None of the boys appealed him as he sighed and shut his eyes. Even after looking properly, he couldn't find anyone that made his heart pound.

It was not like his standards were crazy high too. He just wanted a nice boy who knew about love, as Jin had said, but it seemed so impossible now.

"Hey why aren't you eating?" Hoseok asked with his mouth full as he watched something on his phone.

Jimin hadn't even heard him, just drowned in his own train of thoughts.

"Yah Hoseok. Stop watching fucking cocomelon in class bro. Are you five?" Taehyung made fun of the other while Jimin was still lost in thoughts.

"Shut up hoe. It's not cocomelon. I'm watching chibi anime, you uncultured swine." He yelled at the blue haired boy.

"Whatever. It's all just cartoon anyway." Taehyung said which caused a full blown gay cat fight in the middle of the class, while Jimin still stayed oblivious.

He thought about how if he didn't find a suitable boy, the possibilities of him ever going on a date are going to be negligible.

"Um.. Park Jimin?" A hand shook his shoulder causing him to break from his trance. It was Chaeyoung once again, looking at him.

"Those people have something they want to say to you." She pointed towards the door.

Jimin quickly turned to look at who wanted to talk to him and he saw three girls standing by the door. They had their hands folded across their chests as they threw glares at him, causing Jimin to instantly feel panicked.

Taehyung laughed bringing a hand around Jimin's shoulder, "They're surely your boyfriend's fans." He spoke into Jimin's ears, causing the shorter boy to shudder with fear.

Hoseok too joined in, "They must be serious to call you out like that. Seems like it must to tough to date a popular guy." He smirked at the now fearful boy.

They pushed him towards the door, muttering a good luck and see you soon as they laughed amongst each other.

Jimin hesitated as he took steps towards the three girls, afraid that they would punch him straight in the face. The tallest girl, who was standing in front of the other two, glared at him as soon as he reached them.

"Stay silent and follow us outside. We have to talk about something serious." She muttered causing Jimin to panic and nod immediately.

He followed the three girls to an abandoned area at their school and just hoped that they wouldn't punch him.

As soon as his back hit the white walls of one of the buildings, the girls began yelling loudly at him.

He was the prince after all. Jeon Jungkook. So it wasn't strange that the girls were ready to bully Jimin for being his boyfriend.

"We heard from the grapevine that you are dating Jeon Jungkook? Is it true?" The leader of the trio asked.

Jimin couldn't even explain to them that it was just temporary and a whole fake relationship, "A-Ah yes." He mumbled.

One of the other girls jumped up quickly, "So it is true! Why? How can this happen? Our prince cannot be a faggot like you." The girl looked absolutely disgusted.

"Its.... It... Just did..?" He stuttered feeling even more conscious about himself at the look of disgust on the girls faces because of his sexuality.

"Listen here you faggot. To put it plainly, Jeon Jungkook is like an idol. It's enough just to admire him without touching him. Got it?! That's our implicit rule!!" The leader yelled at the boy, causing him to move further into the wall.

Jimin scoffed at the naive girls for being this dumb and homophobic. He was not going to stand there and take their mindless criticism which he didn't even deserve.

"A rule? Isn't that someone with no courage to actually ask out Jungkook would say?" He said bluntly, feeling proud as he saw the look of shock on all the girls faces.

"YAHH," The leader shouted, crowding at him and pulling at his hair, "Jeon Jungkook can't belong to anyone. Give us our prince back. Break up with him."

The three girls ganged up on Jimin, pulling at his hair, cauing his scalp to burn and eyes to tear up a little.

He blamed his lying mouth for all of this. If he hadn't lied about having a boyfriend, none of this would've happened. It was all his own fault that something like this was happening to him.

"Stop it!!" A voice was heard from over the yelling of the three girls.

The girls stopped all of a sudden, glaring at the intruder to see why they were being stopped.

Just a little away from them stood a tall boy, who seemed to be from their batch. Jimin had never seen him around but he was positive that the boy was a senior.

"You're acting like a bunch of kids. It's so shameful," The boy glared at the three girls who glared back, "Three against one is so cowardly."

"S-shut up. Who are you anyways? It's none of your business." The leader glared at him with a little fear in her voice.

The boy scoffed, "Yeah, say that when I complain on the internet about you bullying a student. Let's see which Idol agency takes you in then."

This caused the leader to grow even more agitated but one the girls eventually made her realize that they couldn't stay there any longer and risk being caught by anyone else.

"Isn't it enough for today? Let's go chief." The two girls dragged their leader away.

Jimin groaned a sigh of relief once the girls were long gone as he massaged his burning scalp, luckily his hair was healthy and none of the hair actually ripped out.

"Hey are you alright?" The tall boy smiled at him, holding his arm in concern to pull him up properly.

Jimin smiled in gratitude, "Ah, Yes I am completely fine. Thank you for saving me from those girls."

The boy just laughed, rubbing his hand over his hair in embarrassment, "No, no. It's just in my nature. I couldn't see them acting like elementary students stumbling around."

Jimin couldn't help but stare at the boy. He was really good looking, like someone who would be in kdramas and magazine covers. To have a boy like that in front of him was quite surreal. He was really frozen by his beauty.

"Ah, so, what's your name?" The boy asked, breaking Jimin's trance.

"Park Jimin." He said, feeling embarrassed for gawking at the taller boy.

"Oh, I am Cha Eunwoo from class 3 B." The taller boy smiled at him.

Jimin nodded, "We're in the same grade. This is nice."

Eunwoo too nodded feeling more welcomed by the shorter man, "Oh you're in grade 3 too. That's nice. So we're the same age, don't be so stiff." He laughed, playfully flicking Jimin over his forehead.

Jimin placed his hand over his forehead, right where he had been flicked. The gesture was so small and innocent that he couldn't help the butterflies he felt in his stomach. He was sure there was a blush on his face too.

Eunwoo slowly squished one of Jimin's cheeks, smiling softly, "You're really cute. I will see you around then, Jimin." He slowly walked away, waving at the boy who still stood there with a blush on his face.

Cha Eunwoo.

He was something else.
