We did manage to fit everything and everyone in the end though Max was uncomfortably cramped in the back. It made me laugh. He glared at me, but u saw the amused twist of his lips.
"I'll take that." Said Seth as I began helping Beth unload. He frowned as he watched Max climb out of the back, several heavy bags in hand. "You went into town?"
"Obviously." He rumbled before heading for the front door.
"But-" Seth spluttered to his brother's back. "You hate going I to town!"
Max made no answer, just shut the cold out behind himself.
"He doesn't like going into town?" I asked, replacing 5he bag Seth had taken from me with another.
Seth laughed. "No. The people are afraid of him. Except for the she wolves. They pester him constantly. Poor fellow must beat them off 2ith a stick."
Max slapped his brother upside the head, having come back out and been so quiet that neither of us heard him.
"Ow!"
"Stop telling her unnecessary things." He said snatching the bags from me and going back to the house again.
"Touchy..." Seth growled.
I laughed and followed with the last and lightest of the bags.
I suppose that explained the towns people's reactions. I wouldn't want to go either if all that happened was unwanted come on one hand and fear on the other.

The next two days were uneventful but enjoyable. Beth and Seth kept me entertained, Madix was often busy but pleasant company in the evenings, and Max- well Max was Max.
On the third day however, he took me by the arm and nearly dragged me down into the basement. I thought he was going to toss me in a cell, but he marched me straight past them he opened a door and I saw a moderately sized training room.
There were all sorts of exercise equipment and at the center was a large training mat.
"What-?" I asked, confused. Then I was distracted by Max pulling off his shirt. I looked away as soon as I was able, but he caught me all the same. A grin split his face.
"Shut up." I snapped and he chuckled. "I assume you didn't bring me down here to take advantage of me. What's this all about?"
"I could." He said, a wicked grin still on his handsome face. "But no. you have a dominate personality. You will get into fights with other werewolves. Some will want to know where they stand in the pack in relation to you, others you'll just get on their nerves-"
"Hey!"
"And others may be looking to mate with you."
That one took me aback...
"No one will force you to have sex with them. Not anyone who doesn't want to die a slow and very bloody death at least. But things get wild in the summer. And... maybe you will want a mate then. If so, you don't want to get stuck with the wrong fellow. Not to mention, on the off chance some one dose want to die a bloody death, it's best if you know how to take care of your self."
I looked at the mat and then back at Max who now stood bare footed and bare chested at its center.
"And that's what this is? You want to tech me to beat people up?"
A playful light danced in his eyes, just like when we played in the snow. "Yes. Don't worry, it's only bruises. Even if I broke something you'd heal it in a couple shifts."
