it was the next morning when amara, she of course woke up with a terrible headache, making her open her bag and look for painkillers.

she survived most days on them, taking alot of pills, unbeknownst to everyone, and when someone told her painkillers aren't good at her age she replied with “they are called pain killers, they make the pain go away, they don't kill us” amara sassed and walked away from that person right after.

if you asked me, I would tell you she is just in pain, not physical pain but emotional pain, I mean why would a fourteen years old girl take over three pills a day? when all she has is a headache, and it doesn't help that no one ever noticed how many pills she took.

as araia woke up and found no one in her bed, she went downstairs looking for amara who had just closed the house door while holding many bags of food, “what are you doing?” aria asked her friend tiredly.

“isn't it obvious? I ordered breakfast” amara said boredly, it wasn't that she didn't like aria, because she loved her, but she just didn't feel like talking alot in the morning.

she actually didn't feel like talking to people all the time but yeah

aria looked at amara with raised eyebrows “yea well I am pretty sure dad will give you a lecture” aria sassed back with her hand on her waist making amara shrug her shoulders.

“oh he already did” amara said casually while Noah walked downstairs with a stern look on his face.

“how much was it?” Noah asked making amara look at him with a fake tiredness in his eyes.

“it's too much papa stlinski, like really who would be able to handle ariaʼs attitude” amara replied, knowing Noah meant how much did the food cost her.

amara never took money from Noah, she knew about his home situation, because she practically lived there. so she would normally get dinner for them or food that will last a long time.

honestly I think it was pretty sweet of her, but well noah didn't like it at all.

“don't give me that look! we are supposed to be family right?” amara said with a frown on her face and aria went upstairs not wanting to be present in the argument.

“but that doesn't mean you pay when you stay here” Noah said making the girl roll her eyes. “i am the dad amara, I pay, you are the daughter” Noah said not realizing what he said at all.

he didn't notice until amara hugged him tightly suddenly. “you never said that before” amara said, making Noah raise his eyebrows at her.

“well of course I am your dad, like what did you think Amara?” Noah said, making the girl giggle softly.

“yea well, since I will be here alot, like usual obviously, so I am becoming the parent of the house this week” amara said making Noah pull away and raise his eyebrows at her.

“parent of the house? really amara? is that even a thing?” Noah asked the girl, who only smiled at him.

“oh it's definitely a thing, I do it with abby all the time” amara said while walking towards the table in the kitchen.
