it was the end of the school day, that amara met up with eli, and stood with him, waiting for his dad to arrive

“could you help me with French too?” amara blurted out, making eli smile at her

“yea of course it's pretty easy” eli said, liking the idea of spending more time with the girl

“it's not easy” amara grumbled “it's stupid”

“no you just have to concentrate and understand it” eli argued back making the girl raise her eyebrows

“what's easy about any of it?” amara asked just as a jeep pulled up, waiting for the two teens

as eli walked forward amara was still hesitant “does your dad know I am coming over?” amara whispered to the boy who stayed silent

“i didn't get a chance to tell him, but aria always comes unannounced so it's okay” the boy made attempted to joke making the girl raise her eyebrows again

“hey dad amara is coming with us” eli ignored the girl and talked to his dad who smiled at the girl

as the two got in, amara in the backseat, she glared at the back of eliʼs head making him roll his eyes and turn to her

“stop glaring at me”

“i do what I want elliot” amara said making the boyʼs mouth hang open for a few seconds

“that's not my na—”

“like I care” amara insulted the boy, then giggled at the look he gave her

“making fun of you, might be the second funniest thing elliot” amara told the boy who glared at her

“what's the first?”

“throwing aria under the bus” amara replied casually then her phone started ringing, making her smile slightly

“i should have probably mentioned Joseph morgan” amara mumbled making eli raise his eyebrows at her

we should have mentioned a million pounds instead, it was a common saying, mostly shared in egypt , and amaraʼs online friend taught it to her

people normally said it when they are talking about someone and they show up, in a way of annoying them jokingly

amara was obsessed with learning other languages, but not French.

as amara walked in their house, she smiled at the adult thankfully

“we are heading upstairs, to study” eli said quickly, noticing his dad was about to talk.

the adult raised his eyebrows while nodding at the two teenagers, as eli led the brunette upstairs, she walked politely after him

eli was afraid derek was going to embarrass him in front of the girl he liked, truth was derek didn't know this was the amara washington eli always talked about.

“your dad seems nice” amara said, looking around the boy's room.

the walls were painted in red, many posters of music on them, there was a television right in front of his bed, which wasn't made but amara didn't think much of it

amara wasn't the neatest person, yes she cared about things being organized but she was too lazy to make her bed, which is why I mostly did it.
