The unveiling

Chapter 6

Nick did not know how he would be able to trap Yacob but he had an idea in mind. Nick waited in his office for Yacob which he had called over. Once the unsuspecting Yacob came in the office he was hit in the head.

When Yacob woke up he noticed that he sat in a chair with his hands tied behind the chair. He struggled out of the rope while studying where he was, he was still very much in Nick's office and it seemed that he was in some sort of circle, he guessed it to be some kind of powder. He finally noticed Nick, who sat with an old almost falling apart bible written in Gaelic perched on his table.

"What are you doing this for?" Yacob shouted which finally got Nick's attention, he stood upright and sneered at him

"You should drop the act, I already know who you are demon"

"Demon?" Yacob said confused but Nick ignored him, if he was going to pretend like he didn't understand then he might as well get this over with.

Nick rubbed the oil over his head to prevent the demon from possessing him, then he began. Yacob who had been struggling with the rope for a while, finally freed himself from the rope before shoving Nick on the floor before making a run for the door but it was locked.

Nick stared in shock as he watched Yacob leave or try to leave confirming that he had ultimately fucked up.

"Fucking hand me the keys" Yacob said angrily, Nick sighed before getting up

"Yacob I think we need to talk"

"Why would I want to talk to my kidnapper"

"Please take a seat Yacob" Nick said as he sat down expecting Yacob to follow along but instead he looked like he was ready to punch someone, that particular someone was Nick "please"

Yacob let out a grunt before sitting "You better tell me something that makes sense or I might as well beat the crap out of you" Nick sighed for the umpteenth time again.

" Yacob I'm not a priest"

" Well that part seemed obvious" Yacob said but Nick ignored him and continued

" I am actually an exorcist and perhaps if you hadn't noticed this school has been taken over by a demon of lust, an incubus as some may call it" Nick waited for a reaction

" You have to be joking, demons don't exist" Nick rose his eyebrows and Yacob's widened in disbelief "Are you being fucking for real? So you are telling me that there has been a demon living amongst us, dude we have to tell everybody"

Nick sat up " That cannot happen Yacob this has to stay a secret and alerting a demon that we are looking for it is the dumbest decision you can make, now you have to promise me you will not tell anyone"

Yacob seemed to think about it for awhile "Did you think I was the demon, that's why you did all of this?" Yacob motioned to the scattered salt circle which Nick nodded to "So do promise me?"

"I do" Nick sighed in relief " Can I have keys to the door, I have a class to attend" Nick nodded before handing over the keys to him.

A week had passed.

Nick had finally summoned the courage to finally call the church and give them the not so exciting news. The phone had rang for a long time before it was picked up.

"Hello?" Nick recognized the voice of his fellow brother in the church, Alexander.

"Alexander it is me, Nick"

"Oh Nick I was starting to get worried, Father Patrick is not on seat at the moment so I am to answer all his calls, so what seems to be the problem?"

"Um nothing much-" Nick would never express his utter failure to Alex who was apparently the best student in his batch or the fact that someone already knew his agenda and he was at risk of being exposed "-I just called to do a check-in, that's all"

"Okay, then I wish you a good luck and stay safe Nick" Nick disconnected the call before letting out a loud groan.
