28. Its Not a Curse. Its a Gift

''Get up.... Aegon!" Alicent shouted. ''Get up!''

'' Mother? What is it?'' Aegon hissed rolling over still hung over his head in the pillow his ass hanging out.

"What is it? What is it? What is it?" That's all you can say for yourself?'' Alicent hissed.

''Has something happened?' aegon said turning around pulling the sheet with him

''Dyana.''

''Mm?'' aegon said confused.

''The serving girl.'' Alicent hissed aegon still didn't understand. ''Oh, for the gods' sake. The girl, Aegon. The one you sent fleeing from your company.'' Aegon got up stretching out his arms.

''Oh, it was just harmless fun. She didn't need to go and get upset about it.' Aegon remarked nonchalantly.

''Think of the shame on your wife, on me. How can you keep carrying on like this, especially on a day like today?'' Alicent countered

''Why? What is it today?'' Aegon asked pulling on his pants.

''You are no son of mine." Alicent hissed marching around the room

''I did not ask for this. I've done everything you've asked me to, and I try so... I try so hard, but it will never be enough for you or father.'' Aegon called after her as Alicent stormed out

''Have you seen Dyana? She's supposed to dress the children.'' Helaena asked coming into Aegon's chambers. Alicent didn't answer. She just hugged her daughter.

"Helena... have you seen-" Aemond stopped himself. "Whats going on?"

"Turn him and be in love forever!" Davina declared. "Thats so romantic!"

"What if he changes his mind? What if hes... when we turned it changed us. Not just physically but there is a hunger. It pulls... it... its always there. I dont want him to change." Beka remarked. "I love him just the way he is."

"Both of them. Aemond and Daemon have the power to hurt you and you them. I believe that when you love someone and that person loves you in return, you're uniquely vulnerable. They have a power to hurt you like nothing else." Davina remarked. "But he wants you. He wants forever. I think forever seems like a long time but not when you have someone to love forever could never be long enough."

"What if-" beka whispered. "Davina I thought Daemon was the one. I was so confident and then I lost him. He moved on."

"So did you and you are better for it!" Davina assured her. "I love Daemon. Hes great. He one of my best friends but Beka you are my sister. I love you and I dont want you to be miserable. I want you to be happy and in love."

"Perhaps one day, in a year or even in a century. I would be ready to put this curse upon someone else." Beka countered softly as she gnawed as her lip drawing a bit of blood.

"Its not a curse. Its a gift. A gift he wants." Davina corrected. "show Aemond what the world has to offer. What you have to offer."  Beka stared back at her a heavy breath in her lungs. "Get your man." Davina demanded.

"I love you!" Beka declared kissing her before running off.

"Is this your blood or his im tasting?" Davina questioned sticking her tongue out in disgust.
