First Person POV - Midnight
Myself and my two friends, Angel and Liv, were driving at night down the roads. We were going on a roadtrip originally, but I may or may not have gotten us lost.

Liv was in the passenger's seat, I was driving, and Angel was in the backseat. Angel and Liv had played Rock Paper Scissors to decide who got the passenger's seat. I, of course, was driving, since it's my car.

"Uhhh, guys? I think we're lost," I said uncertainly.

"Yeah, I think so, too." Liv agreed. For a moment, silence fell upon everyone. It began to rain—a lot, too. Rain battered the windows and made it difficult for anyone to see, especially me, who was driving.

"Why don't we stop at the hotel up ahead?" Angel suggested.

"What hotel?" I questioned, squinting in an attempt to see further into the darkness ahead.

"I'm pretty sure there's a hotel here that we can stop at for the night." Angel explained. Relief flooded me. Thank god! I'd worried that I'd crash the car in this weather, or that something even worse might happen.

I slowed the car down and parked it in the hotel's parking lot before climbing out of the car. Angel and Liv jumped out of the car. I locked the now-stationary vehicle, and we all rushed towards the hotel, seeking shelter from the storm raging down on us. As soon as I got into the hotel, I pulled out my phone and booked us a room to stay in. Unfortunately for me, as soon as I'd booked our room (which was Room 36), my phone died.

"Dammit!" I exclaimed. "My phone just died!"

"Mine was already dead." Liv offered.

"Same here," Angel agreed. "But I'm sure we'll be fine without our phones until we reach our room."

"Yeah, I guess so..." I agreed with a small shrug. "We should head to our room now. It's getting late."

"Good idea." Liv agreed. I spotted a few elevators. The first one said "MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: ONE PERSON", the second one said "MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: TWO PEOPLE", the third one said "MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: THREE PEOPLE", and the fourth and final one said "MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: FOUR PEOPLE."

That's weird... I thought, but I decided to ignore it. Liv was the first to run over to the three person elevator, and Angel quickly followed. I hurried after them, jumping into the elevator to make sure it didn't close before I could get there.

"So, what floor are we going to?" Angel asked.

"Not sure," I admitted. "Maybe we could...find it...or something...?"

"Why don't we head to the Lobby area first?" Liv suggested. I nodded, grateful that Liv already seemed to have a plan in-mind. Liv pressed the "LOBBY" button, which caused the elevator doors to close and the elevator to begin to go up.

I noticed that Angel grabbed onto the elevator railings to keep himself steady, and Liv waited for the floor number go up. As of myself, I leaned against the wall and fiddled with the two strings on my jacket/hoodie. Speaking of which, I should probably take my jacket off. It's soaked from the rain. But then again, I might get cold if I take off my coat. Eh, whatever. I unzipped my jacket and pulled it off. I was wearing ANOTHER hoodie underneath it, fortunately for me.

Before I knew it, I felt someone tapping on my shoulder.

"Midnight? Midnight? Hellooooo?"

"H-huh?" I blinked. Liv was the one talking to me. "Oh, sorry, I guess I zoned out there for a minute..."

"It's fine," Liv assured me. "Now come on. Angel is already out of the elevator waiting for us."

"Right, yeah, I'm coming." I agreed, stepping out of the elevator behind Liv. Outside, lightning flashed, the storm raged on, and the thunder roared to life. There was no receptionist.

First Person POV - Liv
I noticed that the receptionist wasn't there, for some reason. Odd. But there was also a key behind the desk, just hanging there. It had the numbers 001 on it. I guess we should go find our room, then. Maybe we're supposed to do it ourselves—independently.

"Look, there's a key," Angel pointed out. "We must just have to find our room. This shouldn't take that long."

"Guys?" Midnight spoke up, looking uneasy.

"Yeah?" I turned.

"The elevator closed." Midnight replied.

"It did?!" I exclaimed, staring at the now-closed-doors to the elevator.

"That's normal. It's probably bringing more people up here." Angel assured us. "Besides, not having an elevator here isn't gonna kill us, is it?" Angel joked.

"Yeah, I guess you're right..." Midnight mumbled. "It just...scared me."

"I don't want to sound impatient or anything, but can we go now? I don't like just standing here." I spoke up, glancing at the key behind the empty receptionist's desk.

"Sure." Angel agreed.

I began to walk towards the side of the receptionist's desk, but Midnight beat me to it. She had to fully crouch down to fit under the thing that helps you bring your stuff into your room (BRO I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF IT FOR THE LIFE OF ME—).

Oh, okay. I guess that works. I thought. Midnight grabbed the key, spun around, ducked under the thing that carries your stuff, and shoved the key roughly into the door. She twisted the key around, which caused the lock to fall to the ground. The door was flung open, which was unusual. But I just assumed that Midnight had pushed on the door as she opened it. That must be why that happened. Cause ghosts and such don't exist.

Just as the door opened, Angel spoke up, sounding confused. "There's...another...door...?"

I would like to write another part to this eventually. It was pretty fun to write honestly. I'll probably go back to writing my Doors: Multiplayer AU soon.

I hope I represented everyone's characters well!
