Emma sat in the waiting room, waiting to be called back for her ultrasound. Today was the day that she would hopefully find out the gender, and she couldn't wait.

Mary Margaret appeared to be even more excited than Emma. She was tapping her foot impatiently. "What is taking him so long?"

Emma rolled her eyes. "You were the one who insisted we got here early."

"I know. But I can't take it anymore."

"Be patient, Mary Margaret." David chuckled. David had come along for this appointment. Also along for the special day was Henry, Oliver, Leo and Parker. It was the first appointment that they had come to.

"Emma Swan." Dr Whale called.

"About time." Mary Margaret mumbled as she picked up her purse. The group followed Dr. Whale into the small hospital room.

"Wow. Quite the crowd today." Whale joked.

"Well it is a special day. Today we find out the gender." Mary Margaret said excitedly.

"We will try." Whale said. "But no guarantees. Sometimes the baby isn't in the right position. You should know that though." He winked. "I seem to recall you wanting to know the gender of a certain little boy who wasn't in the right position."

Emma sat on the bed and was told to lie back. Dr. Whale grabbed the gel.

"What's that?" Oliver asked.

"We use this to help us see the baby." Dr Whale explained. He lifted Emma's shirt and put the gel on, before putting the probe on her stomach and moving it around. After a moment the baby appeared on the screen and a heartbeat could be heard.

"What's that?" Leo asked.

Mary Margaret smiled. "That right there is your niece or nephew." She pointed to the screen.

"What's that sound?"

"That's the babies heartbeat." Dr. Whale explained.

"Woah. That's so awesome." Leo exclaimed.

"The baby appears healthy. Everything looks great."

"That's great. Now is it a boy or girl?" Mary Margaret asked impatiently.

Dr Whale grinned. "Any guesses?"

"Girl." Henry guessed.

"Boy." Leo and Oliver both said.

"I'm going with Henry on this one." David said. Secretly he was hoping it was a girl. He honestly wouldn't mind either way, but he already had three amazing grandson's. A granddaughter would be nice.

"A girl would be nice." Mary Margaret agreed. "But so would a boy. It doesn't matter either way."

"What do you think, mom?" Henry asked.

Emma thought about it for a moment. She had been sure that Parker would be a girl until the ultrasound proved her wrong. She really didn't know. "Either is fine with me, kid."

"Well?" Mary Margaret just about shouted.

"Congratulations. It looks like you are having a...boy."

"Can't say I'm surprised." Emma chuckled.

"YES!" Leo high-fived Oliver.

"Well, I was wrong." Henry chuckled.

David and Mary Margaret smiled. They were getting another grandson, and they couldn't be happier.

"I'm happy for you, Emma." David smiled.

"Me too." Mary Margaret said with tears in her eyes.

That night at dinner, Mary Margaret couldn't stop talking about the baby.
