As he gets ready in the morning he has forgotten all about the scare he got last night, that is until he is on his way to his classes he passes the alley while walking to his uni. In the light of morning, the previously pitch-black alleyway is no longer imposing or threatening in any way. It looks like every other alleyway. But something draws him forward to check it out.

                                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He thought there is no way the person from last night would still be here. Yet he's curious to see if they left any clues behind. Halfway down the alley, he finds a small indent, where the brick building dips in, leaving a sort of hidden section that can't be seen from the sidewalk.  It's barely more than a meter long and a meter deep and features a skinny male teenager sleeping on several pieces of cardboard. There are rags along the walls covering him, which are keeping him warm and protected from the late fall weather. Hoseok's heart breaks realizing the shadow he saw last night wasn't a teenager trying not to get caught out late but a homeless one who appears to be struggling to live on his own.
                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He briefly thinks about taking him to the nearest shelter until he notices there's something different about the person. He's not human, he's an animal hybrid. It's the furry cat-like ears perched on his head that gives him away as being a hybrid. They almost blend into his thick messy hair.  If Hoseok hadn't been looking so closely he probably wouldn't have noticed them. The fact that the hybrid, essentially a genetically modified human has him rethinking letting anyone know about him. Hybrids are considered lower than full humans, no more than a strange experiment-turned-pet for those rich enough to have something similar to a modern human slave or sex toy.

                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If this hybrid has no owner then he's out here illegally, a runaway surviving on the streets. Hoseok doesn't see a collar on his neck.  He knows that a hybrid adoption agency would take him in so he won't be homeless anymore and adopt him out. Hoseok debates for a moment longer, torn between trying to convince the hybrid to turn himself into the adoption center or letting him be. In the end, he pulls out his lunch and leaves them in front of the hybrid's face, hoping he will see it when he wakes up. The hybrid needs the food more than he does. He'll just skip lunch today and just eat some snacks at work. He turns around and heads back towards the street, creeping along quietly to not disturb the hybrid from his much needed sleep.
