"Nabi wake up it's 7 am"

"Okay"

Nabi sat up and sat still for some time, then rubbing her eyes and picking up her phone.

"E-mail?" She read the notification out loud, tiredly.

She tapped on it and it opened up the email she recieved.

"Hi Nabi, this is my part of the research work and arranging of it in as the project wants.

Thanks for the lighter yesterday by the way, if it's not obvious, i stayed up late to complete this so I'm not coming to school today.

Jeno 🖤 "

Nabi's eyes widened as she opened the attachment to see perfect work, incredibly presented in the project, and the research information was also organized.

"Wow-"

"Nabi it's 7:15 am-"

"Yeah I'm getting ready!" She said back, at her mom's voice.

Nabi opened her closet and took out her uniform, and ran to take a shower and get ready.

"Bye!"

"Bye!"

Nabi walked into her class and sat on her seat.

"So..." She looked up to see Jaemin.
"How's it working with Jeno?"

The question confused her, thinking if she should tell jaemin everything or not,
"It's good actually, he literally sent me all the work yesterday at like 4 am"

"Oh wow really? Impressive." He smiled and pulled the chair next to her closer to her as he sat down.

"It's maybe because it's a group project and he feels responsible?" Jaemin guessed, Nabi just laughed.

"Yeah probably"

Yeah it's not like they kissed or something.

"What about you? Did you complete your part?"

"No" She shook her head, "Not yet, i have to arrange everything so it will take a few days"

"Guys, there's police in school"

"What?" Nabi and Jaemin both stood up at what jisung said to them, as cops approached the class door.

"Everyone settle down, we just want to ask you all something"

Jaemin and Nabi sat in their seats they were standing at, Jisung pulled the chair on Nabi's left and sat closer to his friends.

"Your classmate, Lee Jeno. When was the last time you saw him?"

"Why though officer? Is everything okay? Is jeno okay?" Jaemin asked back, the inspector shook his head.

"Someone filed a missing complaint for him yesterday. So, when did you guys last see him?" The inspector tried to pretend like everything was alright.

"Yesterday, in class" a student from the front replies, as everyone else agrees.

Nabi cotemplated, telling them. But a missing report means Jeno could actually be missing and in big trouble.

"I saw him last night"

Nabi said, slightly raising her hand, the officer nodded.

"Okay, miss, can we talk to you for a second?" He asked, she nodded and stood up, and walked with them to an office room.

"Where did you see him last night?"

"He came over to my house and give his part of the project work"

"At what time?"

"10 pm ish"

"Have you had any contact with him since?"

"Yes, he sent me an email at 4 am, sending all of his work in pdf form"

"Can you show me that email?"

Nabi nodded and took out her phone. Just then, she remembered if the cops find out about jeno smoking, they will arrest him for sure.

So she went to her emails and copy pasted the text of it and deleted it, then pasted it from another one of her emails ids which didn't have her name in it and sent it to herself with the documents without the lighter part.

Then, she showed the email,

"Here, sorry i accidentally edited it just now"

But she had copied the data, so it said sent at 4 am, edited at 8 am.

"Okay, thank you. If you get any other contact with him, let us know."

Nabi nodded and walked out, walking straight to the bathroom before calling Jeno.

"Hello?"

A sleepy voice answers.

"Jeno, where are you?"

Jeno sighed,
"In my apartment, why?"

"Someone filed a missing report for you and there are cops at school. I made sure they didn't get to know about the lighter thing but they do know about your email."

Jeno sat up, as he listened,

"But you're not missing.... Is everything okay Jen?"
