She is wearing the borrowed shirt and a bandage over her head when she got back home. A familiar car is parked just outside the building. She did not pay it any mind until the door opened revealing Prof. Ackerman.
A smartphone is attached to his ear when his cold eyes land on her, she knew something wasn't right.
"yeah, she is here," he turned off the phone, swaggering towards her with his usual strict demeanor.
"Prof. Ackerman---"
"Mind telling me where have you been?"
"Professor, I---"
"No," he said, his voice strict, "your friends have been looking for you since last night when your relatives found you absent in the middle of the night without a single clue of your whereabouts, the least you can do is stop being irresponsible with yourself," he ended his tirade with a curt nod.
"But---"
"What happened to your head? Where did you attack? If so, who did it?"
"Sir, I don't remember who attacked me," her head is hanging and her shoulders are slumped.
"Right, you need to get that wound check,"
"I'm fine,"
"Are you sure? The wound looks bad, you must get it checked, and its an order,"
"Got it,"
"(Name)!?" the two of her fellows screamed when they saw her, "who did this and how!?" Maria questioned, "tell me, (Name), tell me now!!!"
"Maria..." the other girl pushed her side, giving her room to breathe, "(Name), we---we were--- so worried," Mary Johan stuttered, her eyes brimming with tears.
"Look what you did, (Name), you made Mary cry,"
(Name) apologetically touched her ears, "sorry, but it isn't something serious I swear," she isn't comfortable telling her friends that she was about to be molested in an alley.
"Don't lie, look at your head," they lead her inside the building, "I need names, (Name), those bastards gonna get what's coming for them."
"I don't like being violent but, (Name), I agree with Maria,"
"Alright," she recapped the incident from last, leaving out the few details that she couldn't recall due to being knocked out.
"Wow, you are lucky the guy reached in time, (Name),"
"He must have a good heart for helping out a stranger,"
(Name) scoffed, good heart, or just selfish intentions. She didn't know much about the guy who saved her but she can tell, he is going to be a disruption.
"I'm home---"
"I wish she never comes back from whatever hole she went in," a voice said with malice, she immediately recognized the voice.
"Perhaps, you are right,"
"Right, mom, you don't need to hide the fact you were spending her money over yourself," she froze at the mention of money.
"Shhh, boy, don't say that out loud, I didn't spend it all on myself, did I? You also got a part of it," her aunt whispered, "if she figures it out we can go to jail---"
"Oh no, you guys are going to jail for fraud," Maria opened the door, revealing the three girls standing behind it.
"Who are you?!" her aunt asked, but froze when her eyes landed on (Name).
"(Name), where the hell was you?!" her cousin screamed to her face.
"Congratulations, dear aunt, you played yourself well. You want me dead, don't worry from this day I'll be dead to you all," She sauntered towards her room as her friends followed behind, Maria giving a middle finger and mouthing, 'get fucked,'
