chapter 3- breathe

Netyems pov:

"Neteyam?" I hear a familiar voice, it's deep. It's aonung "lo'ak?" Another voice but it's feminine and its tsireya. I get up and shake lo'ak up as well.

"Hey aonung" I say groggily shaking myself awake. I'm looming down at my feet because I'm tired but he pulls my chin up and smirks "my face is up here" he says and I smirk "ok ok what do you want I just got up" I ask and run my hand through my hair.

"Time to swim, we should start early today so you can fit in more practice time, you and your brothe ran use it, tuk is lighter so she is quicker than both of you" he says and I smirk.

"Ok ill go get tuk and wake lo'ak up again and then we will head of" I say and walk in back to the tent. "Hello aonung kid, thank you both for teaching my kids the way of the water, I appreciate it" I hesr my dad talk while I get tuk up and kick lo'ak.

"Ok ok dad shut up let's go you two" I say to lo'ak and take tuks hand so she doesn't get lost. I follow aonung and tsireya to the water and

"You all failed miserably yesterday so kiri, neteyam ill teach you both separately, tuk and lo'ak will go with my sister" Aonung says and I nod "come on sis" I tun to Kirriemuir and then back to aonung.

Aonungs pov:

"Ok kiri you seem to be foing quite well... amazing actually so you can fo whatever you want really, neteyam you SUCKED" I say and neteyeam pushes my arm "hey!" He says and I smirk.

"Ok breathe deep, fill your intire lungs up with air so you can hold that breath in as long as possible, my record is 15 minutes" I explain to neteyam and breathe in deep as an example.

"Now you" I say and he nods. He takes a short breath and goes under water, within a minute he's back up "I told you to breathe in skxawng!" I shout and smack his arm "hey! I'm trying" he says quietly, I can tell he's annoyed.

"Sorry that was a bit much, why don't we just breathe, outside of the water ill help you" I say and he nods quietly, I pull myself out of the ster and onto a big rock ledge and neteyam follows. I sit cross leged and he does the same.

"Breathe deep just like in the water, slow your heartbeat down and focus" I say and put my hand on his chest. "Whoa dude your heartbeat is as fast as lightning, you should try to slow down" I say and clos emy eyes showing him how to slow his heartbeat down.

I open my eyes and move myself so I'm infront of him "take a deep breath" I wisper and he breathes like i tell him to "good, your heartbeat is still fast you need to slow it down neteyam" I say and take my hand off his chest.

"How about i interduce you to the ilu's, you will have own, they are a bit like your ikran in the forest but we ride them in the water" I tell him and call my ilu to tge water beneath me. I swim over to a shallow part of the water to show neteyam my ilu.

"This is Zuni, her name means full of grace" I say and mount Zuni "let's go, I will take you to find your own ilu. I take him to a cluster of ilus and all but one swim away. "Thare, he is yours" I explain and grab him by what he call the handle.

"You must complete the hair bond" I say and he nods at me "I know I know" I say and connect my hair to his. "Ah, well done neteyam, what will you name him?" I ask and smile at him. "Hm... lakota, it means; friends, allied" I smile as he tells me his name choice.

Neteyams pov:

I mount lakota "hold whare I am" Aonung says and I put my hand whare aonung was holding. "Ready? Tell me when and I'll let go of him" he says, looking me straight in the eye "ok... go" I say and aonung let's go of lakota, he shoots of like a rocket and  I just bairly hang on for a couple seconds but then I fall and I must of hit my head or something because everything went black.

"Wake up come on neteyam" I hesr panicked voices first and then I feel hands on my head and my chest. "Is he OK? Dad why isn't he waking up" I hear tuks voice. "Hes ok... he's ok... he's breathing" and then that's aonungs voice.

I manage to open my eyes and see aonung above me "neteyam!" The edges of his mouth curl up and he hugs me around my neck. "Thank god! I was so worried about you I'm so sorry I knew thare were rocks around I should of never let you ride out thare I should of known better im really sorry neteyam" I listen to aonung ramble.

I feel a sharp pain in the side of me head and wince at it "lay still I'm trying to help you" kiri is at my head, doing her best to put pressure on my bleeding head. "I'm ok aonung it's ok" I ignore kiri and turn my attention back to aonungs frantic face. "Is it an appropriate time yet to say haha you fell" lo'ak breaks the tension and I burst out laughing.

"Ah ow bro don't make me laugh it hurts" I chuckle and sit myself up against a huge stone behind me. My dad comes up to me and hugs me "my boy, neteyam your just like your mother, so strong" he says and puts his hand on my shoulder with a smile.

Aonungs pov:

(Starting from when neteyam falls) I see neteyam fall of his ilu and when he doesn't come back up I rush over to him. I lift him out of the water and he's passed out and thares a bash to the side of his head that's gushing with bright red blood. "Oh shir neteyam" I mumble and pull him out onto the shore.

"HELP! Mr sully! Dad!" I shout for anyone and fall to my knees beside neteyam "Aonung?" Jake rushes over with my dad and his other son lo'ak. "I was trying to teach him to ride the ilus and he fell of, I didn't think about the rocks in the reef and he his head... he's bleeding and he passed out help me please" I explain what happened to my dad and jake in a panicked tone.

"Calm down kid ill get kiri and his mom" jake rushes of to get neteyams mom and his sister. When they get back kiri starts working on stopping the bleeding from his head and I just dont leave his side.

"Come on neteyam wake up please" I say quietly and tuk rums up to her brother "dad why won't neteyem wake up is he OK?" Tuk says shaking neteyam. "Don't shake him tuk, he's ok... he's ok... he's breathing" I say and gently push tuk back from neteyam.

Neteyam opens his eyes and and I throw my arms around him "neteyam! Oh thank god I'm so sorry I was so worried about you I knew tahrw was rocks around thare I should of known better not to let you ride down thare I'm really sorry" I apologise purposely and hig him again.

*the rest of the part I cba to write soz*

"Ok kid I think its time we get neteyam to bed he will be absolutely tip top tomorrow after a good night's rest" jake days and I nod "why don't you get tuk and stuff ill help neteyam back to your tent" I day and hake nods "good idea we will see you both thare" hake replies and I smile as the walk of.

I put neteyams arm around my shoulder and walk slowly "I can walk you know, I hurt my head not my legs" he laughs and I smile "I know but with a head injury I don't want you blacking out ot falling" I say and look down.

"I am truly sorry, I should of known to take you out further whare thare are no rocks" I say, disappointed in myself "it's ok aonung I'm alright ill be all good in a day or two" he says and looks at me with a smile.

We reach his tent thing and I walk him in "thank you for getting him here safe young man" his dsd smiles "mhm... skxawng" I hesr his mom wisper "mom!" Neteyam shouts and sits down "don't call him that" he tells his mom and she nods "ok ok..." his mom replies and he turns over. "Good night aonung see you tomorrow" he says and I walk away.
