chapter 4- i see you

Neteyams pov:

"Neteyam wake up your friend is here to see you" my dad wakes me uo with a kick on my arm "I'm up I'm up!" I say and go to the door of our tent. "Oh hey aonung" I say and smile at him "your head is looking much better today but I think its best we just chill today I don't think its the best idea for you to be going back into the water with your head injury" he says and I smile and nods.

"So I was thinking ill take you up to one of my favourite spots and we can talk and stuff and just take it easy" he tells me and I smirk "sounds amazing just give me like five minutes to wake myself up and I'll be out" I tell him and he walks of to wait for me.

"What a nice boy" my dad days and my mom scoffs "yea a lovely boy that almost got my eldest son killed" mom mutters "mom he didn't almost get me killed, he made an honest mistake and apologised! He's a great friend and he made sure I was ok, your son is stronger than you believe I am I wouldn't let myself die over a little head bash, my dad is turok makto his son isn't going to die like that" I shout and storm out to see aonung waiting for me.

"Ahes right you know, I did almost kill you, that blow to the head was bad. I thought you were never going to wake up and it would of been my fault if you didn't" he mumbles and starts to walk, I follow uo behind him.

"It wouldn't be your fault, and I would never of died anyway, look at me im absolutely fine!" I try to hype aonung up and walk quicker so I'm beside him. "I never would have forgave myself if anything happened to you" aonung sighs.

"Byt nothing did happen, aonung I'm fine" he smiles at me and nods "I guess your right" he puts his arm around my shoulder and I do the same.

He leads me to this spot on a clif that you can see right down everywhere on the water "see the white purple thing down thare, that's our tree of souls underwater" he days pointing out their tree. "Wow its beautiful its so different to the ones in the forest" I say and smile at the beautiful tree beneath us.

"I know it's some veiw up here, its nothing like flying above the forest with your ikran but it is an amazing veiw" he smiles looking out to the water leaning back on his arms. "Your the best" I mumble quietly and smile.

Aonungs pov:

"Neteyam?" I say looking away from the water and to neteyam who is now looking directly at me as well. "Yea?" He says confused and smirks at me "I see you Neteyam" I say and he stops smirking and just hugs me.

"I see you" he replies back to me while still hugging me. He stops hugging me and I look back up to the water. Neteyam puts his hand under mind and I smile at him and go back to looking out on the water. "You know I never really had anyone back in the forest, yea I had people i talked to but I didn't have friends or someone i could talk to, np one back home would of pulled me out of water if I was drawing but you did" he says and I turn to him and smirk.

"Hey neteyam" I say and he looks up at me "yea?" He replies and I smile "I really want to kiss you right now" I say and he looks me up and down "what's stopping you, not me" he smirks. I take his face in my hands and our lips collide like when two oceans meet.

When we pull away I can't help but stare into his beautiful eyes, full of hope and love. My mom always told me you can tell anyones story from there eyes, with neteyam it's that he was born in the first and the weight of his whole family was put on his shoulders.

"Wow" he mumbles quietly "can I do that again" I ask and he nods. I lean over and kiss him again pulling him up onto my lap not once breaking the kiss. "I'm so greatful you have came into my life" I break our kiss to tell him how greatful I am and then I wrap my arms around him.

"Oh aonung I'm greatful for you to but we better head back my mom will worry" he says sadly and I nod. "Yea ill walk you home" I say and we spend the 25 minutes it takes to walk back talking and laughing together.

We arrive back at his tent "Hello Mrs and Mr sully" I smile and neteyam walks In. "Ok I better go ill see you tomorrow neteyam" I say and walk away.

I walk towards tsireya and Roxto who are sitting round the fire "hey bro, what did you and neteyam get up to today" tsireya asks with her usual friendly smile.

"Well we went up to the cliff up above the tree of souls and we talked alot and I uh... um I kissed him..." I say and look down at the ground beneath me. "Woah..." Roxto sounds absolutely dumbfounded and tsireya just stares at me "uh..." I mutter and tsireya coughs "I just lost so many bets... I owe lo'ak so much" she says with a laugh.

I smile, I was expecting alot worse of a reaction from them. "So..." I start and Roxto laughs "we don't care man neteyams pretty cool thare are alot worse people you could of kissed" Roxto says and I smirk "thanks bro" i smile. Roxto is basically my brother, we have been best friends since before I can remember and it's always been that way.

I taught roxto how to swim because he SUCKED as a kid. "I'm gonna hit the hay see you tomorrow" I say and head of to whare I sleep. I lay awake for some time thinking about today, how my parents would react if they knew, how neteyams parents would react if they found out. God no neytiri would literally beat my sorry ass. That forest woman is terrifying.
