chapter 6- fight

A/n: YALL IM SORRY ITS BEEN MONTHS- If im being honest I took a break from writing this story for a week or so and then I just completely forgot ab it, I'm gonna try and write a couple of chapters in the next week.

Neteyams pov:

I wake up to anoung talking to my dad "morning" I say with a tired groan "get up dude" he tells me and I laugh. "You woke me up, your lucky I like you bro" I pull myself up and rub my eyes.

"Dad, ya know how uts been like ages since I hurt my head? Can I go out to the water today?" I ask and smile mockingly at my dad "hmm come here let me see your head first" he says and I walk forward, my head is fine it's all closed up and barely even scared anymore.

"Hmm... it seems fine just take it easy, anoung please make sure he doesn't over do it" I smile and nod at my dad "ok thank you, sir" I don't know why we call my dad sir we just do. "Ok let's go neteyam, tye water will wake you properly" anoung says and I follow him.

"Why are you water people always up so early man" I groan as we get to the water, lo'ak is already there with tsireya. "Morning bro, tsireya" I say and jump in the water "Ah fuck I forgot how cold it is" anoung laughs at my comment as he dives in alongside me.

"Neteyam, lakota is still bonded to you, try and call him" anoung says and I call lakota, to my surprise he actually comes "hey boy" I smile and mount him once again "I won't fall don't worry" I say and he goes off, I don't fall off this time and I come back around "Ah bravo neteyam" he smiles.

We ride around for awhile until the sun sets "I am going to hunt for some fish, I just got a new spear" anoung says and I nod "alright cool, I'm just gonna go find lo'ak and kiri" I say and walk away, I find kiri and lo'ak surrounded by the mean kids that didn't want us to stay in the first place.

"Demons, freaks!" One of the shouts, grabbing kiris hand aggressively. "Don't touch her" lo'ak says, pushing him away from kiri. "Hey hey hey, whats going on" I say and lo'ak looks at me and then balls up his fists "hey dude look at this, I may have 5 fingers but I can do something really cool with them" he makes a fuss and then punches the guy in the nose.

One of the other guys punches lo'ak and I roll my eyes. "For fuck sake I guess we are doing this" I jump in to help lo'ak, the fight doesn't end until anoung turns up "hey! What the fuck break it up" he pulls me away from the guy I was punching "I SAID FUCKING STOP!" the guys all back off when anoung shouts.

"Whats going on neteyam?" He asks me first, surprisingly "they called kiri and lo'ak demons and freaks, it was like 6 against 1, I had to help my brother" I explain and anoung nods.

"not cool guys, they aren't freaks, they aren't demons, they are people just as we are" he lectures the boys and they nod "now go clean yourselves up" he instructs and they go, I start to watch away but he grabs me and pulls me back.

"No, I'm gonna patch up all your cuts and bruses before we go, and you 3 explain this to your parents. Got it?" He grabs my arm and drags me to the water, he puts my hands in the water and it stings "OW" I try to pull away but he's stronger than me.

"Sit still" he demands and I do as he says and suffer through the pain. I haven't looked him in the eyes and he hasn't seen my face seince he came over. "Let me see your face" he asks and I shake my head "I'm fine" I assure him but he scoffs.

"Neteyam sully don't make me tell you again, show me your face" he says in a slightly more aggressive tone than the soft kind one he was useing. I look up, my lip is busted and my eyes a bit swollen but I'm OK.

Anoung wipes the blood off my lip and squeezes the cut shut "what are you doing?" Kiri says in a judgey tone "you may have been a healer and done thinsg your way in the forest, but I'm doing this my way" anoung replys and puts some medicine thing on my lip and knuckles.

"Its fine if we get grounded we get grounded oh well" lo'ak says and I nod "Fine... put this on your cuts as well though" anoung gives lo'ak the medicine stuff.

"Let's go, you are explaining this I'm just taking you there so I know you get there" anoung grabs both me and lo'ak by the ears and drags us to where our mom and dad are sitting, alongside Tonowari.

I stand beside my brother and anoung and stare into the distance "oh my god... what have you boys done now!" My dad stands up ans yells at us. "Anoung... what did you do" Tonowari talks to him. "Don't just stand there I'm not taking any blame for this" anoung says

"ugh... basically what happened was a few of the boys were making fun of lo'ak and kiri and our family and called us demon freaks, so lo'ak punched him and they all were fighting him so I had to help him I wasn't gonna stand there and watch them beat the shit out of my brother!" I tell my dad and he nods "ok... go home your grounded, the both of you, for 2 weeks you will not leave the pod accept to go to the toilet and get food" my dad instructs.

"Go with them anoung" Tonowari motions for anoung to walk with us and he dose, he walks me, lo'ak and kiri home to our pod. He pulls me aside when we get there to talk to me "there's going to he a huge storm tonight, I can see it in the horizon, I'll come make sure you are ok" he says, I don't like storms but storms are never bad in the forest so..
