Unknown PoV
I moved from tree to tree until I was about five meters away from where the girl and her friend were standing. She was giggling as he carried her towards the deep end of the lake. He on the other hand, looked at her beaming face like she was the most precious thing in the world.
I snorted.
They seriously thought they were mates. How...cute.
Her giggles were cut off as the boy dropped her into the water. Seconds later, the girl emerged from the water with a scowl imprinted on her pretty face, her eyes dead set on the retreating boy's figure.
She was actually quite the sight.
Her soft, pale skin seemed to glisten where the sunlight touched it. Her long, silky, naturally wavy, ink black hair was soaking wet and clung around her face and down her back. Her electric blue eyes squinting in mock anger as she eyed the boy in front of her. Her full pink lips turned into a scowl that was anything but frightening and her wet clothes clung to her developing, feminine body like second skin. I'd say give her two more years and she'd be the perfect specimen.
Deep in the back of my head, my wolf growled. She has NOTHING on our mate!
I mentally rolled my eyes at him. He had been silent for a while, keeping to his pathetic self after I rejected his sorry excuse of a mate a few months back.
Of course it hurt like a bitch after the first month. She was my wolf's mate after all and there was nothing I could do to change that but I learned through time how to separate my wolf's emotions from my own. The pain and longing was all his anyways. She was also human which translated to me as useless, helpless, and weak. There was no way I would have wasted all the time and effort I've spent executing my plan in order to have this girl as my Luna just because of some human. I've spent an ample amount of time planning how to get this girl. It wasn't the easiest thing I have done. I am mere moments away from executing the second part of my plan and I'm afraid it's not going to be easy as well. Her pack is a second rank like mine after all but I have my eyes set on the prize. With this blue eyed beauty by my side, I could dethrone the Lupus pack from their place as the first rank pack in the continent and have my own, to take that place.
The mutt growled some more, calling my attention.
Your sweet little mate is a fucking human. She is of no use to us and will only weaken our pack.
I decided to play the it's-for-her-own-good card.
She's better off not even knowing about the existence of our world. Do you really want to rob her of the peaceful, happy life she has now and throw her into our mess of a life?
I got nothing but a whine.
I'm assuming that means no. Now shut up.
I turned my focus back on the girl who successfully tackled her companion to the ground.
5PM. Any minute now they'll start heading back towards the pack house for dinner.
Right on cue, the boy threw the girl over his shoulder and started running towards the direction of the pack house.
I smirked as I pulled down the wolf mask in order to cover my face and conceal my identity. Ridiculous, I know. But I see no advantage on my side in letting my future Luna know that I'm the one (who will soon be) responsible for the death of everyone she loves.
Garret, report on your progress. I mind linked my beta.
I've slipped wolfsbane into their meal Alpha, at least half the wolves will be taken down after a few spoonfuls. The rest will be taken care of by our warriors who are scattered around the surrounding forrest near the pack house. I could practically hear the smirk in his voice as he reports.
Good. Damon, how is the girl?
She's drank the water, Alpha. She's now on her way to the chambers. She'll be knocked out in seconds and will most likely sleep through the slaughter of her pack. My third in command announced.
Well done.
Men. Prepare yourselves. We attack at six. Kill every living being you set your eyes on. Men, women, elder, children, all of them. But leave the Alpha's daughter unharmed. Not one strand of hair out of place or I will have your head. Understood?
Yes Alpha.
I smiled at the sound of my warriors. All is going as planned. I will have you soon, sweet Aviana.
