Princess Daella Targaryen stood within her chambers in Winterfell, staring at the looking glass. Her King and Grandfather Aegon the Unlikely, had decided that to fix some of the damage that his children had caused some of the Realm due to their marriages, Daella was to fulfill the Pact of Ice and Fire.; the agreement between Houses Stark and Targaryen which was made during the Dance of the Dragons. Being the younger twin to Princess Rhaella, Daella always knew that her marriage prospects was only for furthering her Houses standing. However, that wasn't the only reason for this marriage to take place.

Out the corner of her eye, Daella saw the sunlight hit off the ruby that was embedded on the hilt of the dagger, that her grandfather gave her when he told her of this marriage, as well as the true reason as to why this was taking place.

Aegon V had sent word for someone to fetch his youngest grandchild, as he had a Duty to bestow onto her, even if he didn't want to. Aegon wasn't known to have Dragon Dreams, like his ancestors, but he had seemed to have a a single recurring dream that revolved around a piece of his family's history; the Pact of Ice and Fire. For as long as he could remember, and all the way back to the Conqueror, the Song of Ice and Fire had been passed down from father to son, from King to Heir.

Aegon and Daella had always been the closest within the living family, for he respected her choices and not bowing to peer pressure, to not worship by the Seven, nor the Old Gods, but the 14 Flames of Old Valyria. Daella had always had a different take on their family history, and their customs and embraced them like the Targaryens of Old. Plus, Aegon was convinced that his granddaughter had Dragon Dreams, for she always knew how to handle something and prepare for it before it actually happened.
