The arising rays of sunlight glimmered through the sheer drapes of Mulan's bedroom; She yawned softly while rubbing her blurry eyes as she approached the window,

A rosy hue had been cast upon the morning sky, if there was one thing she loved about Los Angeles it'd definitely be the skyline, she then proceeded into the bathroom where she carried out her hygiene routine.

Warm water loosened the tension in her muscles as she tilted her head backwards with closed eyes— carefully lathering the appropriate areas of her body with liquid soap, she cleaned herself thoroughly from crown to heel, she had only spent about fifteen minutes in the shower since she had bathed the night before,

Once finished she stepped out wrapping herself in a towel before starting her skincare routine, then moisturized her body after drying, and later got dressed for work,

Mulan's occupation consisted of her working at the Los Angeles Central Library, beings that she is an author who also loves to read, the job was a perfect fit for her— she had been employed there for three years now.

She began packing her satchel bag with her favorite books, and just before she tucked her laptop inside of the bag as well, she decided to check her email;

"I'm pretty sure he didn't double email me again, is that even a thing?" she questioned herself

As expected, there were no other emails from Tec except for the one she didn't respond to the other night, was it too late for her to reply to him now? Was she supposed to carry out the conversation they were already having, or start a new one?

Deciding against all of it, she sighed while closing the laptop and slid it into the bag as well— then out of the apartment she went.

That whole morning she couldn't stop thinking about him, however she was such a hopeless romantic to the point all she believed in were fairytales, to her if it were meant to be then she and Tec would cross paths again unexpectedly,

After a few hours of helping patrons find books to read for pleasure, Mulan began organizing the shelves and kept things tidy in her area, lunch time was nearing soon and she couldn't wait to grab a bite to eat, but first she took some time to work on her story.

She ensured that the male lead was an entrepreneur, there was nothing more attractive than a man running his own business, being his own boss, and calling all of the shots.

"Yet he's humble," she stressed emphatically "Nobody likes an arrogant person, at least I don't..."

Feeling satisfied with the few ideas she had incorporated, she gathered her things while taking a stroll downtown—

Traffic on the sidewalk had been at an all time high, there were a few instances where she could barely get past people, she pressed on anyway until she was nearly struck in the face by a glass door;

"Watch it," she scolded the two men who were fixated on the enormous diamond rings on their fingers "You almost hit me with the door,"

"My fault, couldn't see where I was going because this ice on my hands started blinding me."

She huffed beings that the apology was mediocre and they still carried on their conversation, ignoring her, "Is everything good out here?"

Mulan's breath had gotten caught in her throat as Tec appeared in-front of her, quickly averting her eyes towards the ground she blushed unintentionally "How ironic..." she mumbled before letting out a shaky response "Everything's fine thanks for asking,"

He lowered his head a bit searching for her eyes to meet his again, "I would hope so, I don't need you out here harassing my customers now,"

"Customers?" she retorted as he motioned for her to read the sign plastered upon the building "Luciano's Custom Jewelry? You're a jeweler?"
