Chapter 1

~Clara's Pov

Everyone was talking at once in the big auditorium. The front seats aren't very close to the stage but its okay. Just a few months ago I was walking across that stage getting my diploma. Christmas break was fun if you didn't count the break up. Jade has been my best friend since 5th grade. We talk about everything. She is really pretty she has strawberry blonde hair, hazel green eyes and is skinny. Our freshman year our doctors told us to lose weight. We weren't extremely big but we were average. But you know I learned that you can never please doctors. Your either too fat, too skinny, or nothing at all. We both had lost 40 lbs. we had weighed the same 160 when we started. She's tall, I'm short. She has fair skin I have tan skin.

"Wait hold up! He broke up with you over vacation?!?!" She asked. She had a gold silky shirt on that went off one shoulder, a brown short skirt, and brown pumps. Her hair was curled as well.

"Yeah," I replied and sighed, "It was Christmas Eve." I couldn't look at her or say anymore. If I did I'd start bawling. Ross was a good boyfriend, great actually, but he was more interested in his career. A singer/actor, he had always said that I was in the way, even though we barely saw each other. I would see him in-between his schedule. I'd help him with his lines, and listen to new ideas him and his brothers and sister had for a new song. They all loved me. His mom said I was nice and very helpful, I would help her clean up after we ate, and if I was waiting for Ross I'd sweep and reach things she couldn't. (Not that I'm tall or anything.)

"Why didn't you tell me? I Was in California with you ya know!" Did I mention we went to California? I had gone for Ross since he was too busy to fly to Pennsylvania.

"I didn't want to ruin your vacation." Before she could answer Mrs. Lilly came on stage.

"Students! Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your break! And welcome to 2013!!" Everyone cheered. "We have a few treats for you!! First up is Clara and Jade!! They just graduated from here, as you all know already!" We walked up to the stage while she said this, our heels clicking against the wood. My white skirt swayed back and forth, and my hair bounced as the curls flew up then back down. Everyone cheered again, and a few guys whistled. They handed us microphones.

"Thank you! This is Ready or Not by Bridget Mendler!!" Jade said. She did all the talking since I was shy when I had to talk in front of people. Singing in front of them isn't a problem. After singing that song we sang Gold by Britt Nicole, Give Your Heart a Break by Demi Lovata, I went to get a drink. While I was drinking out of the fountain, the cold water felt good against my dry mouth and throat. Someone came up behind me and tapped my shoulder.

"Excuse me love, I was hoping you could spare a few minutes of your time and sign this for me?" I froze in my spot. I know that Irish accent. A few guys snickered in the back.
