At a home in a rural town in Norway, a girl at 17 could be found laying on her bed with her phone in her hands. She had long brown hair with matching brown eyes. Even if her father was a European, who was blond with blue eyes, she had taken after her Asian mother. Most Asians have dominant genes, so of course it made sense.

The girl, Christine, was looking through her phone. She scrolled through the page she was on, on the lookout for any new stories to read to cure her boredom. As she just finished a new episode of the Detective Conan anime show, she felt like reading something related.

Nothing special was happening around her, in or outside the house. She was alone, her parents being out for work, and school having ended earlier than usual that day. A sigh left the girl, and she turned to lie spread over her bed. Her hand holding the phone laid on the edge of her sheets, but her grip loosened around it as her eyelids felt heavy.

With the only noise around being the faint hissing of a radiator or something, she just let sleep take over to skip the boredom.

She felt cold as her mind came to clear up as she woke up. Her nose tickled from something, and she raised a hand to stop the feeling. But when moving, she felt that it was far too cold under her. Her bed shouldn't feel this hard and cool.

Opening her eyes, she let her tired eyes focus, but the moment she took in her scene, they shot open, wide and fully awake.

Wherever she was, she wasn't at home anymore.

Christine shot her head around. Dust was everywhere around her, indicating that this place had been abandoned for a long time. And from what few things were around her, she concluded she had to be at an abandoned warehouse, or something similar to that.

"H-hva.../W-what...?" stuttered Christine. She slowly got up to her feet, terrified eyes still scanning around for any hint or threat close by. "H-hvor er jeg...?/W-where am I...?"

Boxes covered with dirty sheets, rusty barrels, and other old objects was all that was around. No tracks were in the dust from what she could see. Looking up, she saw the beams above looking rather rusty as well, but no rust was on the ground around her. She didn't understand a thing.

With her surroundings scanned, her eyes flickered towards the light not too far from her location. The gates at the front of the building were barely up from the ground. So with a careful jog, and looking around to be sure of any threats still, she knelt down by the opening. She leaned down and looked outside.

It seemed to be by a harbour that wasn't in use anymore. Everything looked far too dirty, and the boats in the water looked old and broken.

Christine took a staggering breath in from her fear, but with all the dust around, she had accidentally inhaled some. Coughs left her and she abruptly sat up, a hand to her throat. A small annoyed grumble left her, but her head shot around again. Still no threats nearby.

After making sure of the surroundings again, she took in a deep breath and laid all the way down to the ground. Reaching an arm under the gate, she wiggled her body to try fit the rest of her under.

Surprisingly, it didn't take much to get out, even with how low the gate was. After a sigh of relief, Christine took deep breaths to calm her heart. She had no clue where she was. This was definitely far away from home. Sure, she didn't go out much, but she would've known of some place like this in her somewhat rural town. Because she's certain some kids would spread rumours, dared and all, like they usually did with these kinds of stuff and locations.
