I dunno if I said this somewhere in the story, but this isn't a DCxOC fic. If there are any relationships with the OC, it's a platonic one.

Christie scowled as she scrolled through the list she had of the anime. She had noted down which had and hadn't happened. The canon episodes between when she first arrived and now had all happened. All the fillers were skipped, but not the last one. The case 'The Figure That Was Too Good' was a filler episode, yet it happened.
When discovering that, Christie had searched around, and she found the chronological order of everything in the series. 'The previous case was episode 730... Only five episodes, then...' thought Christie as she stared at the list. 'Movie 18 happens after episode 735.' She really hoped the movies wouldn't happen, but who knew now? Some fillers were canon in this world.
A frustrated sigh left her, and she fell back onto her futon. She had an overview of the future, yet she did not. Some episodes didn't happen, seemingly being replaced by unfamiliar ones. They had come across some cases Christie didn't know about, but they were pretty minor ones, so they weren't hard to deal with at all.
A thought then came over her, and she sat up. 'If there are such changes... Maybe...' she thought, but a knock on the door dragged her attention over to it. "Come in!"
The door opened, and Conan peeked inside. "You good? You've been sitting in here for some time now."
Christie gave out a sigh, but turned off her laptop and shook her head. "Just trying to figure some things out."
"And it's frustrating you," retorted Conan, shaking his head. "Look, you don't need full control over all of them. If it goes like you said, then the cases should go past just fine either way."
"Yeah," sighed Christie, and stood up. "Guess all I can do is wait to see if they really happen or not..."
Conan gave her a nod in approval. "Come on, we're heading out," he said, gesturing his head towards the exit door as he stepped back from the bedroom door.
"Out?" asked Christie, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Yeah, you need a break, so we're heading out," said Conan firmly, leaving her no choice to argue.
The girl looked at him confused, but nodded. She didn't quite understand why he was dragging her out, but she guessed a walk outside was needed for her right now. She also guessed it was the detective's way of taking care of others.
Christie placed her laptop out of the way in case Ran came to the room, and she joined Conan out of the bedroom. She closed the door after her, and she turned to see Conan turning towards the kitchen. "Ran-neechan, we're heading out for a bit!" he called.
"Ah, alright!" answered Ran, peeking out to smile at them. "Make sure to be back before dinner, at least. If anything happens, send a message."
"Alright~," answered both kids, and turned to put on their shoes, then stepped out.

Most of their walk was quiet. None of them really started a conversation between each other, only walking down the street together. No destination seemed to be in either of their minds, but it ended with them walking by the park, just not entering it yet.
Christie glanced over at Conan, thoughts running through her head. 'There's something I really want to ask him... But it's quite personal... and I don't want to hurt him or something...' Christie thought, but leaned her head back to stare up at the sky.
"Something else is bothering you now," commented Conan, and Christie barely glanced over at him. "What is it now?"
"Just something I want to ask, but it's quite personal," admitted Christie, but shook her head at him. "It's nothing for you to think about yet. Or more like you shouldn't think about... yet."
