Reader's POV
×~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~×I didn't expect to arrive at Parts and Services sooner than the band, so it was a pleasant surprise to walk in just as the band came through the doors to the stage. "Great show guys!"
"You know that Foxy snitched and told me that you were upstairs drinking," Roxanne said with her hand on her hip. "You were drinking at this time?!" Freddy said with a mix of worry and annoyance, but I spoke over him, "I watched the first song, and I caught some bits of the other two on the elevator ride! Plus, I already know that you guys kill it every time you step onstage," I continued. Monty scoffed light-heartedly, "You freakin' sweet-talker." I shrugged and smiled up at the bot, "Can't be sweet talking if it's true!"
There were a pair of arms around my waist in a second and the familiar feeling of something resting on my head. Wait, when did Freddy reach me? "Jealous boyfriend alert," Chica giggled as she finished putting away everyone's instruments. I smiled to myself when the sound of Freddy's internal fans were more noticeable after she said that.
"Anyways," I started while pulling the bear's arms from my body. "I just wanted to see you all off before you headed to Rockstar Row." Before Freddy could stand to his full height, I planted a kiss on his cheek.
Bonnie stuck his tongue out in disgust, like a little kid. "Gross! Sometimes I really wish that you two didn't get together." I raised a brow at the bunny, "What are you, a child? And, need I remind you of how lovey-dovey you can be?"
I put a hand to my head and dramatically recited, "Oh wow Monty, you're looking awfully handsome today! Did you get all dolled up for me? Let's make out while Y/N is on shift!" The bunny cringed, "I don't even sound like that! ...Right?" The others let out vague noises in disagreement with the bunny. "Guys, I don't!"
****The band headed up to their green rooms before they could be late for their meet-and-greets, leaving me to just sit here twiddling my thumbs. All the animatronics were busy doing their things, while their technician was chilling in the dark and dusty room below ground. Before boredom could fully consume me, my phone buzzed, I looked down and saw a message from Vanessa.
'You'll never guess who just called me'
Before I could answer, she sent another message.
'Gregory will be here in a few'
I stretched in my seat and texted back, 'Pizza when he gets here?'
'God no'
'Burger'
Her response made me chuckle and I answered, 'Aight see you in BB' (Bonnie Bowl) Since Gregory was still on his way, I decided to kill some time by scrolling through my phone to watch funny videos.
****
After a few minutes, I got up from the old wheely-chair of Parts and Services. Deciding to take my time by navigating through the utility tunnels instead of taking the elevator and making my way around the crowds of customers.
Gregory's 15 now, and he still visits the place. Meanwhile, Alex stopped coming over for some time now. "Ah, they're growing up too fast!" While I was lamenting over how my two favorite kids aren't kids anymore, I heard that sound from the atrium again, but more clearly. Someone's calling for me?
"Hellooo? Anybody else down here?" I shouted down the corridor. Instead of a person responding, there was the sound of metallic scurrying.
I sighed, "You're not supposed to be down here, Foxy." I expected the fox to come out after a beat of silence, but there was no sight or sound from him. "Sun? ...Moon?" Again, nothing. The tunnels were so quiet, it looked like I was probably just standing there yelling at the darkness. Except I definitely heard something metal moving around down here... "Hm, maybe I've lost it," I mumbled after a minute of silence.
Even before I could take a step, a loud bang sounded from behind me. I turned around wide-eyed to the source of the noise, it was a vent cover that fell and... "A little Music Man?"
Next to the fallen cover was a tiny, busted-up version of DJ Music Man, the little thing had some differences though. His body was less spider-like, having a vertical, diamond shaped torso; he also had suction cup-looking feet unlike DJ; he didn't even have any headphones.
I attempted to approach the small robot but stopped when I felt something under my shoe, it was a small cymbal that was in the same state as Mini Music Man. "This must be yours," I said as I picked up the cute little instrument.
He nodded its head furiously before skittering over to me. I was about to kneel down and hand it to him but he quickly climbed up to my arm and grabbed it instead. Well, that was simultaneously cute and horrifying...
Now that he was closer, I noticed that he had a wind-up key in his back. "You're a toy?" He furrowed his brows at me and let out an awful, glitchy screech. "Okay, okay! Not a toy, then." With a satisfied nod, he crawled off of my arm and decided to rest on my head. "You can't talk either?" Music Man let out another garbled mess which pretty much answered my question. "Well, either your voice box got broken or they never finished giving you one. Let's clean you up, and then you can stay in Parts and Services until I get back from lunch. Deal?" Music Man happily clapped his cymbals in response. "How come I've never seen you around before?" I don't know why I kept asking him questions when I knew he couldn't talk. "Are you hiding from people?" He clapped his cymbals again "I'll take that as a yes. No wonder you're a mess..." The little guy let out an unpleasant screech "Sorry! Not a mess, just a little dirty, that's all."
