Day by day I forget, forget the wrinkles on thy face and I forget thy touch,
For too long it has been since I've been blessed with the sight of you and it has been long since our last embrace,
I forget thy voice and it's sweet lilt and I fear tis not long til I forget thy eyes reminiscent of ever calm skies,
For too long it's been since we last conversed I think I forget thy use of words,
But I think not that I'll forget thy love as precious as fine jewels,
or thy warmth that reminds of sitting by the hearth,
I think I'll remember them to my ending days.
