I wake up the next morning with Neteyam next to me. I blink and fully open my eyes as I wriggle out of his arms. I turn to look at him. He was so pretty, and all mine. I smile a bit before kissing his cheek. I put my hand on his cheek and caress it as he slowly starts to wake up.
"Ma Neteyam," I whisper loud enough for him to hear. He smiles. He yanks me down and brings me into a rough cuddle as I laugh.
"How long were you up for?" He asked me.
"Like a minute before you were up. I got to get heading back. My motherly duties are calling," I say partially as a joke. My mom is a great mother, she is also a single mother, and sadly will be for the rest of her life. She'll sometimes go out hunting the sky people and not feed or help look after her kids, but that's why I'm there. She'd do anything for us kids though.
I start to head out. "Neteyam, c'mon love," I said as he followed me.
"I had a great night (Y/n) I mean it," He says as he helps me onto his Ikran.
"Why are you acting like were dating? We practically married," I laughed as he also laughed.
"I'm thankful for that," He said. After a bit we were back at the camp. As I walked to my tent Etayna came running up to me.
"(Y/n)! Where were you! I had to sleep with Kau'i, she's not as comforting as you," Etayna said as we both headed to our tent.
"I'm very comforting, plus you're 8. You shouldn't need to sleep alone. I was 8 when dad died. Grow up." Kau'i retorted.
"Kau'i! You do not speak about dad like that," I snapped. I only ever get defensive when people talk about My dad, Neteyam, Eywa, and my siblings. "Etayna was younger when he passes so that might of affected him in a different way."
"Fine sorry," She rolled her eyes as she walked away towards Lo'ak. I spotted Neteyam heading somewhere with Jake and Neytiri, and Lo'ak heading off with Kiri, Spider, Tuk, and Kau'i. Etayna looked at me with bug eyes,
"Go, have fun and be safe," I said as he laughed and hugged me then ran off the join the group. I sensed something was wrong. I shrugged it off. I entered the tent. My mom was there, and she was mad.
"(Y/n) Kekoah! What in Eywa's name do you think you were doing last night? You just don't come back some nights! What if you missing, dead, what? How will I know. Your siblings are scared when you just don't show up. It's very unresponsible of you, they will do that to when they have there own mate thanks to you!" My mother hissed at me.
"Mother, please I'm sorry. Neteyam and I just went somewhere and fell asleep. You know Neteyam he is a sweet boy and wouldn't do anything to hurt me! I'll tell you next time!" I said apologetically.
She hissed at me, grabbed her bow and left the tent to probably join Neytiri and Jake. My ears went down. I was alone now, everyone was with someone. I sighed and grabbed my bow and knife, then fully stocked up with arrows that my clan made. I walked up to Nala.
We soared around the skies for a while. Then Lo'ak came on the talk-y thing.
"Dad.. there are things.. here that look like us, but there in full army clothes," Lo'ak said. Shit.
"Where are you?" Jake replied.
"The old shack."
"Who's with you?"
Shit, shit, shit. I started rushing to get over there, for Nala it wouldn't take to long. If these people are dangerous, they can capture my siblings.
"It's me, spider, Kiri, and Tuk and Etayna," Lo'ak said sounding hesitant.
"Listen, you get out of there, do not make a sound, we'll be there as soon as we can," Jake said, sounding passive aggressive.
"What a damn retard," I say to myself as I soar through the sky, going straight to the old shack.
By the time I arrive it's eclipse. I sneak up on a big tree behind them to get a good look over them. There were about 11 or 12 na'vi looking things and they had everyone tied up with guns pointed to their heads. All of a sudden I heard Neytiri's warning sound. I look up at the tree ahead of me. It was my mom and Neytiri. I spot Jake below, sneaking up from behind. I also make a calling sound.
I look around, trying to spot Neteyam. I don't see him.
I try to think. I glance at Neytiri and my mom who has their bow's ready. I do the same, my bow is ready to shoot. Never in my whole life have I missed a shot. This time I was scared. I aimed my bow directly at this guy who was holding Lo'ak's head. I had a plan.
I kill the guy holding Lo'ak, Lo'ak fights them down there, all safe.
Then I get another plan, If all 3 of us fire at the same time, I hit the guy holding Etayna, then jump down and attack and get him out of here.
I steady my bow at this bald guy holding my brother. "Oh dear Eywa, help me out here," I pray. I draw back on my bow. I shoot. I hit the target perfect. Neytiri and my mom follow suit. I killed who I wanted to. The only who was holding Kau'i. Lo'ak, Kiri, Tuk, and Kau'i run free. Two left.
One of the na'vi guys turn around.
"That you Mrs. Sully?" He asks.
Technically, I'm also Mrs. Sully. But I think he was referring to Neytiri. "Demon! I will kill you as many times as I have to!" She yells at him, her voice echoing in the forest. I quietly laugh to myself. That women is so badass.
The guys stopped firing their guns, and went back to holding knives on spider and Etayna. I quickly get my bow ready and try to shoot the guy holding Etayna. He was moving to much, which made it hard. I had a different idea. I put my bow away and grabbed my knife. I quietly slid down from the tree, and slowly kept up behind this bald-ish guy holding Etayna. I grab his queue (the braid thing) and i yank it, the stabbing my knife in his throat, slitting it. As fast as I could, I grabbed Etayna and shouted "Run everybody!"
I heard shots, and saw them fly past us. I ran behind Etayna, so I would get shot before he would. I glance up and see Neytiri and my mom running. We kept running, eventually we all crashed into each other, all panting and out of breath.
"Is everybody ok?" Jake asked as everybody nodded.
I was shaking, tears were almost running down my face. I was horrified. My mom noticed.
"(Y/n), come here," She says as she hugs me, my face resting on her shoulder. I feel Kau'i and Etayna come up and join the group hug. When we stopped hugging I saw Jake hugging his sons. I went up to Neteyam and hugged him, as he held me tight.
"Let's go back now," Neytiri said, grabbing Tuk's hand. Everybody dispersed. I held onto Neteyam.
"I was so scared Neteyam," I said shaking slightly as he came up to me and kissed my head. "What if I lose my sister or brother or mom? I've already lost my dad. I can't lose anyone else," I said nearly crying. I never cry. I try not to for my siblings.
"(Y/n) you're so strong. You're always there for them, that's how I know there going to be ok. I saw you in the tree. You risked your life for them. They are very lucky to have such an amazing sister like you," He said as he held my head.
I smiled at him. "Thank you," I said. "Nala is over there, I'll see you back at the camp?" I asked.
"You will see me back at the camp," He replied smiling at me as we heading in different direction. Then I stopped in my tracks. I quickly ran to Neteyam.
"Neteyam! Shit! We all forgot spider!" I hissed out, looking around frantically.
"Damnit! I didn't even notice. Kiri and Lo'ak will be so pissed," Neteyam said, also looking around.
"I'm not going to find him, what do we say? Will they kill him?" I asked. I wasn't to fond of spider. No reason, he just was weird.
"Let's think about back at the camp," Neteyam said. I nodded and headed back over to my Ikran.
