CHAPTER 2.

Adelio
The maids have been scurrying around all morning. She's arrived. Oh bloody great. Now she's going to fall in love with me. She probably thinks this is a fairytale.

Achyls
I wear my normal clothes, a black dress, black chain mail, a black veil. Riding my black horse. My favorite color is green, maybe someday ill indulge myself and wear something stupid.

Adelio
Well she's definitely trying to hide something. She has a black veil covering her face. Only widows and people at funerals wear those.

Achyls
I see a proud looking boy looking at me through the window. His hair is yellow. Annoying golden yellow. He has rosy cheeks, his face still round from childhood. He's 17, a child. In mortal years I am 17. When I was with the gods time didn't seem to pass, centuries went by without notice. Of course down here a mere decade passed. I suppose I am as much as a child as he.

Adelio
I can't stand her, she looks directly at me without shame.

Adelio
I am walking down the stairs to see her, I am wearing a rich crimson. Only those of nobility can afford the rare flowers that make the dye.

Adelio
I can't stand her looking so proud sitting on her house looking down at me. I admit this was not a wise decision I made, but I made this out of necessity.

Achyls
That fool has called the guards on me, his voice is suprisingly deep, he shouts to them that I am an intruder. I am grateful for this opportunity to fight.

Achyls
The guards run towards me, I grab a bow from the horses side and leap on top. My dress sways in the wind as I hold my bow out an arrow ready to shoot.

Achyls
Suddenly an older gentlemen dressed in finer robes then that of the prince runs out shouting for the guards to stop.

Adelio
My father apears, what a spoil.

Achyls
I am being led inside the castle now, by a group of hand maidens. They seem to be in distraught about my attire. I can hear the prince being yelled at. Music to my ears.

Adelio
They scream at me, "my future wife" they say. They're not the ones marrying a monster.

Achyls
We sit for dinner, I've kept my black gown on, it has bishop sleeves, I hear it's the thing for young ladies right now. I suppose I'm very trendy. The ladies in waiting weren't keen on the color. I changed out of my full black chain mail into my chain mail vest overtop the dress. It's very thin, it doesn't look like armour. Just strange clothes. I'm strange I suppose, yes, I am. But no, I say this but I am not really strange. I say I am strange to be modest and so people object.

Adelio
She's changed her chain mail, I've never seen black chain mail before. The chain mail is very sleek, very je ne sais quoi. She's very tall. Around 5'11. I am 6'3. I am the tallest in all the land, still. I am triumphant in my mind but not vocally.

Theta
My son stares at the girl. I am glad. When he marries her it will be good he finds her interesting or pleasing to look at. She still wears the veil though. I do hope she wishes to marry him. He's definitely not up to her standards, but do I say this? No. I don't. Maybe shes stupid like him, or maybe he just thinks hes so above her they become equal.

Achyls
Adelios mother, Theta stares at me. I look up from my food. I stare at her. I like making situations awkward.

Adelio
This is awkward.

Ermen
The Princess Achyls has only worn black, I do hope when she is married she wears white. Black tends to look gloomy.

Achyls
The room is dead silent. I eat slowly, I bring the fork underneath my veil with each bite careful to not move my veil. I want them to think I'm a monster for when I reveal my face it will be even more shocking how gorgeous and absolutely stunning I am.
