Chapter 3 : A New Deadly Duo

|| N's POV ||

*System rebooting..*
...
*Rebooting complete*

  As my system loaded up, I looked around me. I was on the chair, yet I saw V and J still shut down both on the floor. I tried to check my memory, but It seems yesterday was.. a blur?
I couldn't remember what happened. I tried brushing it off and started playing with the buttons. Only after a few minutes or so, J was the first to wake up before V. "Hey N, I'm gonna leave for a bit. Tell V I left early" J said before climbing out. I glanced at V, with a quite bored expression on my screen.
I started waiting for her since I didn't want to kill alone. It's an empty feeling but.. I sometimes feel  bad when murdering innocent drones.
  "It's what we do, N. We're DESIGNED to kill. You shouldn't worry about them at all. It's useless. Those robots are worthless, N." J once said to me before. I've always thought if I could make friends with one.
  I took one more look at V, who was waking up. I wanted to ask her if she wanted to kill drones with me, but she's always found me weird.. Sometimes not.

|| V's POV ||

I started to turn on, and I caught a glimpse of N looking at me. I looked around for J, but it seems she left. I had the energy to murder those little idiotic worker drones since I was hungry, but without J, it would seem different.
  I stood up calmly and remembered last time. I couldn't get it out of my head. But with that, I didn't think and asked N a question I'd never ask him because J was always there.

(Yo what is she gonna say lmao)

"Hey N? Can you come with me to kill some workers?" I said. N turned around, he looked quite shocked on his screen, and so was I. "Uhh.. Y-Yeah sure I guess?" N replied to me.
  We both flew away in the sky and drifted to the place. There we're about 5 worker drones outside, as if there was a scouting session goin' on. We both dropped in on them as they started running. N shot a few workers while I chased the other half.

|| N's POV ||

  While shooting those drones, I kept on wondering why V would ask me to kill with her. -*I shouldn't be doing this eitherway, but if it makes her happy then i guess I will*-

Surprisingly, we killed all the drones already. We bought a few of them back in a net to last us a few weeks or so. Where's J? I kept thinking to myself.
"N, Let's drag these bodies back to J!" V exclaimed in a happy tone. We both went back to the pod with J waiting.

|| J's POV ||

  As I scouted the last of the broken buildings, I flew back to the pod, starving. V and N weren't in sight. -*They probably took some workers to feed on.*- My mind hinted.
I waited for both of them for a bit. I spotted both of them, with a net of worker drones being dragged along the way.
"Hey J!! Look what we've got!" V shouted. "N assisted me in this one" she also added. "I'll have some." I said before coming down the pod.

|| ???'s POV || 《YO??》

I saw them die right before my own eyes. They took them away into the darkness. Oil everywhere, on the walls and ceiling..
"I'll get revenge on you someday."
I said, running back to the hallway.
