The Failed Show ⭐️

Helloo, everyone! Cloudy here again. This one has been in my drafts for months! Finally finished it lol. Enjoy~!

Rui's POV:

"And now, the princess shall banish the evil wizard!"
"To tarnish with you, evil wizard! Begone!" 'The princess', emu, pushed a red button on a machine that i made for this performance. In this case, Tsukasa-kun is the 'evil wizard', and we are going to push the big red button, dumping a bunch of water onto tsukasa.
But emu pushed the button yet again.
Nothing happened.
She pushed again. "O-Oh no! The evil wizard must've broken the machine!!" Emu made up on the spot. Tsukasa looks quite worried....
Smoke starts to come from the machine.
Maybe its overworking?
"Princess, stop pressing the button."
"Wh—" Emu starts, until the stage lights up with a big explosion, of bright sparks and metal flying.

The machine explodes, knocking emu, me , and nene off of the stage with a huge blast on smoke. The children and their parents start to evacuate, screaming in panic.
"ahhh... what just happened-? is everyone alright?" I get up off of the floor, my knees and hands being grazed.
"I-I'm okay." Nene stands up.
"Owwie, my leg.." Emu says in pain, her leg having a concerning cut on the side of it where a piece of metal from the machine must've flew off and hit her.
Wait.
The machine. Shit. TSUKASA IS INSIDE!
"TSUKASA-!!"

I run over to the machine, pushing past the smoke and broken parts of the machine and wonder stage. I finally find Tsukasa in the rummage and i pull him out, laying him on the floor. He fell unconscious, his breathing low and shallow. A piece of the machine seemed to have stabbed him in his liver, along with him having burn marks and multiple cuts along his body.

"SHIT!! H-He's barely breathing-!!" I panicked.
"O-OH NO!!" Emu rushed over.
"T-Tsukasa, come on-!!" Nene said, worried.
I pick up his wrist and hold my thumb over it, checking for a pulse.

There wasn't one.

"CRAP, SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!!"
"O-On it!!" Emu said, sobbing.

"H-Hello? This c-call is from pheonix wonderland... p-please come quick!! M-My friend isn't breathing...! N-No, he doesn't have a pulse..." Nene was next to her trying to calm her down.

Tsukasa is in the hospital, he's in a coma. It's all my fault. The doctors said he may never be able to preform again.... but they did say it was a miracle that he's alive. He suffered 3rd degree burns, a blow to the head, deep cuts all around his body from the metal, and his liver ruptured. His lungs were stabbed, too, but they will we fine. He had to have immediate surgery... luckily, tsukasa's parents had the money to pay for his healthcare.

"Excuse me, Mr Kamishiro?" A nurse came out of tsukasa's room, and walked over to me.
"Yes, that's me..?"
"I hear you were the one that made the machinery that exploded... in a public theme park."
"Yes... it was me. There was a problem with the machine, i think some kids were tampering with the wires of it before we did the show."
"I see. You won't be charged, but you do have a warning. And, you are not allowed to make any machinery for a year. Yes?"
"Okay. I understand."

"..."

"Is Tsukasa okay?" I hesitantly ask.
"He's alive, but we don't see him waking up for any shorter than 7 months."
"I see..."
"He had a hard blow to the head. We're worried that when he wakes up..."
"..."
"...he may not remember much."
"I—I see.. thank you."
