Tori's pov-
Dylan has been acting super strange the last few days and it has me worried. Maybe he's having second thoughts about us. What if he decided he can find someone better for him? What if he's tired of dating me? As you can see I'm definitely an overthinking. But honestly I am worried about him. I decide to call him just to check up. "Hey Dylan, you still going to the hockey game tonight?"
"No, I told the boys I couldn't make it."
"Wait why? You LOVE hockey." Now I know something is seriously wrong. Dylan would never miss a hockey game for anything. "You sure you don't want to go? You've been looking forward to this game all week and you haven't seen your friends in a while."
"Yeah, I'm just not feeling it. I decided there is something much more important for me to do tonight."
Okay well that is possibly the most vague answer ever. What is this important thing? Why does it have to be done tonight? And why hasn't he told me anything about it? "Okay well I hope you have fun tonight anyway."
"It's gonna be great babe, I might swing by to see you in a little bit if that's alright?"
Obviously I'm not gonna turn him down. Maybe once I see him I can figure out what's going on. "Of course! See you then."Dylan Pov:
This girl is gonna be the death of me. That's it all I have to say. "Alright Tori, I'll be by in a while. I got something I wanna run by you. Love you babe" With that I end the call. Okay that may not have been my wisest move, she'll probably be running around worrying most of the day now wondering what I have to say.
Deciding to put the poor girl out of her misery I shoot of a text. "Victoria, please stop worrying. I know you well enough to know that your brain is going crazy about what I said. What I want to run by you is nothing bad and certainly nothing to worry about. Love you Tori❤"
Crisis averted. Now to plan my girl's night out. Tori has had a long week and I know just what she needs. This night is all about her. We're going to her favorite downtown bar to dance the night away to some dang good country music. So yeah in other words we're going down to the honky-tonk for the best stress free night.. All we need is a night for her and me where we can let loose and be carefree. You best believe I'm gonna do whatever she wants to all night long.
The plan is to head over to her house and let her relax all day and then tell her I have a surprise and to get dressed. So phase one of the plan is a go.
"Hey Tori, how has your day been baby?"
"It's been good. How has yours been? And what are doing over here so early?"
" Well I had a fantastic idea. What do you think about having a movie marathon with me today?" That should throw her off for a little while.
"That sounds amazing, but are you sure you don't want to go to the game? Seriously, I know how much you like hockey and you never miss a game. I don't want you to miss it because of me."
Well that is possibly the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. But why doesn't she understand I want to be here with her not at some stupid hockey game. "I'm right where I want to be…trust me" Yeah seeing that smile on her face right now is totally worth it all.Tori pov-
We spent the whole day watching my favorite movies. Anything from rom-coms, to true crime, to Ryan Reynolds movies of course. Why this man wants to sit here and watch me fall for Reynolds strictly because of his humor *wink wink* is beyond me. But really it is super sweet that Dylan spent his whole day with me doing whatever I wanted. I just feel bad for taking him away from other things.
After our most recent movie, "Red Notice", finishes Dylan turns to me and says, "Alright that was an AWESOME movie. Now we need an AWESOME dinner and night out to follow it." Night out? What is he talking about?
"Yeah, sure. What did you have in mind?"
"Wellllllll, I kinda want to keep it a surprise but I will say you should go get dressed in some clothes for possible line dancing" Uh oh he's smirking…he must be up to something. If we're line dancing we have to be going to a honky tonk or a bar. What is he planning and why is this more important than hockey?
"Okayyyy, well I'm going to go get dressed. Be ready in twenty?" I asked.
"Ready whenever, sweetheart."Dylan POV
The plan is going phenomenally. Thankfully Tori is not in an inquisitive mood. It would be fine to tell her where we were going but I'd much rather surprise her.
After she finished getting ready we headed downtown. Tori decided on a cute cowgirl tee, some ripped jeans, and her cowboy boots and she could not have looked better. My girl would look good anything, and I am being a hundred percent truthful there. On the drive, my little shotgun rider couldn't stop asking questions about where we were going and I know she got suspicious when we got on honky tonk highway. Her face immediately lit up. "Wait…are we going to Whiskey Row?" She squealed and man if I could keep that grin and that shine in her eyes everyday I would do anything. Of course I'm taking her to Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, the atmosphere here is perfect for my girl.
"We are indeed, it's my girl's night out and we are going to do whatever you want."
"Dyl, this is too much! I don't want you to miss hockey just for Whiskey Row." She proclaimed.
"Nu uh, listen to me this is the ONLY place I want to be tonight. Right here with you treating you to the perfect night after a long and stressful week." After explaining myself I swear I saw little tears threatening to escape her eyes and I just prayed they were happy teats but judging by her smile I'd safely bet they are.
"You're the best boyfriend, ya know that?"
"I'm far from the best, this is only what you deserve."
After finally getting Tori in the bar after much protest I immediately ordered her favorite whiskey and jumped in with her on the dance floor. After what was at least an hr of dancing we took a break and decided to go back to our seats. "Babe you want another whiskey? I want you to let loose and be carefree tonight."
"Thanks, but no thanks. I think I'll stick to a club soda"
"Anything for my princess." After getting our drinks we hit the dance floor again for a little more fun. "Hey bring it over here, I wanna dance the night away with the prettiest girl in the bar."
Blushing she two-stepped her way over right into my arms. I knew then and there I would do anything for this girl and I needed to take my girl on many more nights out just to keep that smile on her face.A/N: Here's part 2! This is one of me and my bff's favorite songs and I had a lot of fun writing about it. It's a tad longer than the last one. As always leave some comments to let me know what you think and have a great day! <3
