Killian sat still in the sheriffs office while Emma worked. It's been almost a week since she found out. She hadn't told anyone. Nobody knew but Belle, and she wanted to keep it that way, at least for a few days, until she could process the information herself and figure out what to do next. It was a risky decision, but it was one she was set on keeping. But Emma noticed something different in her boyfriends eyes today. He seemed...distant. Lost in another world.

She finally had enough and stood up, walking over to him and wrapping herself around his shoulders.

Her touch made him jump and he turned to her. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, yes love. I'm fine, just reminiscing." He stared back into nothing.

"About what?"

"Uhm, Milah-"

"About Milah?"

He nodded. "I haven't thought so much about her in a long time and I don't know why it came to me." He paused and turned back to her. "Today would be her birthday."

Emma shifted in her place. "That's random."

"I'm sorry, love, I don't know what came upon me. It just hit me suddenly last night."

"Hey, it's alright. You loved her, you have every right to think about her." She smiled. "Just don't fall back in love with her; I don't think I could compete with a true pirate."

Killian smiled wide, standing to take her in his arms. "You're here now, don't worry about me falling for anyone else."

Their kiss was intimate and loving. It almost went further until David barged in.

"Hey, watch it." He exclaimed. The couple broke apart. "Emma, go take your lunch break before you go any farther."

She laughed and grabbed her wallet from her desk. Killian followed her out to the bug and drove to Granny's.

"After you." Killian said to Emma as he held open the door for her.

"Always the gentleman." She smiled and pecked him on the lips.

The two took a seat in the third booth in the back. Ruby immediately came to them.

"Emma, Hook, the usual?" She asked, popping the cap off her pen just in case.

"You know the drill." She nodded and walked away. Emma turned back to Hook. "Now, where were we? You were telling me about Milah."

There was no way he would ever forget her, his first love. Emma knew from experience; she still wore the swan necklace given to her by Neal so she couldn't forget him. As much as moving on from the past would be nice, she knew she couldn't live without the memory of him, especially with Henry around.

"Right," he began, but something moving caught his eye behind her head. The young face of a girl appeared and looked directly at him, but, after noticing she caught his attention, drew back behind the wall.

"Killian?"

"Could you- could you excuse me for a moment?"

"Uh, sure, why?"

"I need to go look at something." He lied, hoping she couldn't use her superpower if he was on the move. He felt like this girl was getting his attention, but his only.

He quickly left Emma and went to the back of the diner. When he rounded the corner, the mysterious girl let out a quiet gasp.

"Who are you?" He immediately asked.

The young girl looked at him with wide eyes. Then she peered down at his hook and her eyes seemed to light up. "You're Killian Jones, Captain Hook! You're him!" She exclaimed.
