Better to be on the safe side. I thought as I made my way across the room and sat in between the oldest brothers. "Aw~ Is bitch-chan mad at me~? You know it can't be helped~ your smell is just way too sweet to ignore ~" Laito said with a smug expression. "Hm. I know right, Teddy? It's very.... unique." Kanato mumbled to the bear sitting on his lap. "Teddy says your smell is very unique. Sweet yet.... ", his voice faded towards the end.
Sweet?!? Uh oh.... That's NOT GOOD... I shuddered lightly. "Oi! Ore-sama saw her first! She's mine!" Ayato stated. Ugh! First of all I'm NOT YOURS! Second of all, SHUT THR FUCK UP, KANATO!!!! I coughed at my violent thoughts.
I looked beside me to find Reiji's eyes staring back at me. I could tell his gaze was full of suspicion. I looked down at my plate. Everyone fell silent as Sebastian brought the food. The dinner time was spent in an awkward silence with the occasional clutter of the spoons.
After the dinner, Reiji announced, "You'll be starting school with us from today onwards. All the necessary items are in your room. We'll leave at 10:45 sharp." He looked at me coldly, not a hint of emotion in his eyes. Boy... You really think I'm dumb enough to go ANYWHERE near you, forget about being alone. Nope! You want me to clear up stuff? Sure! No prob! I mentally grinned.
I stood up from my chair and looked around at everyone, trying to grab their attention, though it wasn't really necessary. I coughed lightly and began, " I would really like to thank all of you for letting me stay here and for the warm welcome." I smiled. "I can see that everyone here is a little... suspicious of my behaviour. So I'd like to clear it out."
Reiji raised an eyebrow and Shu gave a little chuckle. "Before coming here, my father had told me to prepare myself for something... unexpected. I wasn't really sure what he meant by that, but now that I've reached here, I have a fairly good idea of what he meant." I said, trying to sound as calm as possible.
They looked at me with an impressed look, except for Reiji... He was cold as ever. "I also have no idea of spilling out your secret as well as mine. So I guess it evens us out?" I looked at Reiji for the approval. He frowned, his eyes still holding a glimpse of surprise. "May I - we know what secrets are you talking about, L/N?" he asked, trying to confirm my statement. "I fact that you are a vampire." I smiled with innocence.
I heard a low chuckle from beside me to find Shu smirking to himself. Reiji let out a frustrated sigh and said, "Hm. It seems like you're not as dumb of a human as you look like. And what is your secret that you just mentioned?" He asked. And it seems like I'm winning your little interview, Sherlock. Everyone stared at me with great interest. "Oh, the fact that I'm staying with vampires that study in a school for humans. I'm quite sure that none of you want any unwanted attention, do you?" I asked while raising one of my eyebrows.
"Ugh, whatever! You're annoying as hell!", Subaru broke the silence. "My my~ isn't little Bitch-chan smart~", Laito chimed. Reiji fixed his glasses and began, "Hm. I suppose that does kind of evens us out." He spoke, mostly to himself, "But, that does not mean that you'll do anything remorsely idiotic and hamper our reputation. "He said, his voice challenging.
Yea sure. When you have brothers that can break concrete, sleep with every girl of your school, looks like the last time they slept was probably in their mother's womb, listens to music and probably hentai asmrs and doesn't attend any of the classes and a competitive af one, your reputation is totally fine.
I nodded. Ok, so that clears the first part of this story. Next is.... Uhhhh.... Getting bitten by Ayato. Yup! Definitely not gonna be anywhere near him today. No Takoyaki making for me boy. So I need- "L/N can you not space out when I'm talking. That's highly disrespectful and infuriating. I suggest you to take that habit of yours elsewhere, and NOT in this house." Reiji said while glaring at me.
It took me a while to realise that I wasn't in the dinning room anymore. I was outside my room's door with Reiji infront of me, or more like towering over me. Geez! How tall are you dude?! "I apologise. Everything's so new to me that it's taking me some time to get a grasp over the situation. I'll try my best to not repeat it." I gave an apologetic smile as I gave a small bow.
"Hm. That's quite understandable for a mere human like you. But that still does NOT mean that you'll be disrespecting me. Now don't you dare to be a second late or else you'll be punished. Severely." He spat the last part like venom. I nodded without looking at his eyes. The next moment he was gone. I sighed as I opened the door and locked it behind me.
'But that does not mean that you'll be disrespecting me.' Yea sure! Go ahead and vent out all the anger on me cause no else listens to you. How are you so dumb to not realise that even if you do act like the perfect son, He will never replace Shu with you. And to call me a 'mere human'.... This human can destroy your entire world by just a few words if necessary. I let out a small chuckle as I looked myself in the mirror.
Oooooo. No matter how shitty my situation is, I still look NOICE. I smiled at my reflection. I twirled around to see my skirt's mobility and brushed my hair into a side braid. 10:30. I quickly packed my bag and rushed out of the room, closing the door behind me.
A figure stood near the corner of my eyes. Nope. Don't want a jump scare. I'm pretty sure it's Mr. My brother's wife's ex. That part will come later. First, focus on today's event: Dodging Ayato. Plus points if no encounter takes place at all. Winner gets a 'no pain' reward. Let's begin! I thought as I walked towards the main door... the six of them already present. I hope I survive my first day of school...
