Chapter 10

After leaving the venue Xander called someone and said something, After that they left for their house.

Just as they left Ace came and sat in his car where Victoria was already sitting with his clothes all wrapped around her. She was about to explain to him when the driver exclaimed.

"Eh? Isn't that Ms. Jameson ?"

He stopped at the side of the road and pointed at the digital billboard where the advertising space costs millions of dollors per minute was screening the video of Aurora and Victoria.

Their faces were blurred but whoever went to the banquet knew the identity of the two women.

When Ace saw the video his eyes were fixed on the screen. The video was silent but everyone can see it clearly that Aurora did not even touch Victoria. She just took the step back by herself, leaned back and fell in the pool by her self.

In an instant the air in the car became cold.

Ace became more cold and gloomy when he remeber how he was glaring at her the whole time near the pool.

Victoria's face was pale and she was trembling with fear. She never imagined that someone will show the CCTV footage to the entire city.

As she was thinking she heard the loud bang and then she herad the cold voice of Ace.

" I'll have someone send you back to France first thing tomorrow morning."

After that he left the car despite Victoria's pledings. He felt that there is nowhere he can vent his anger.

' If this was fake, then what happened in this five years even real.'

Just as he was walking, Suddenly a flashy car stopped by the roadside. The person inside waved at him. 

"Bro, Get in."

Liam was also at the banquet for networking and saw the whole drama. Since he saw that his friend left in anger, He followed suit. He didn't expect him to roam the city.

Ace sat in the passanger sit and lit the cigarette but when he saw the smoke, he thought of Aurora's figure when she held the cigarette earlier and his hand stiffened.

"Bro, you saw Aurora and Xander together right? Do you know the relationship between them."

liam's question irked Ace to no end and he didn't want to answer question that even he didn't have answer's to.

"We were so upset when she married to you with her shitty background. She's so rude to Victoria too! Fortunately, you got a divorce from that woman. I don't know why someone like Xander will like a girl like her and She looks more close to him than you when you two were together. She is really capable."

"With your status you should marry with a daughter of affluent family, not some gold-digger like Aurora."

Hearing Liam talking ill about Aurora, Ace felt discomfort in his heart.

His eyes were cold with layer of frost. "Enough, stop talking!"

Liam pursed his lips.

"Do you wanna go for a drink?"

"Sure." 

Anyway he desperately wanted to get rid of the feeling he felt in his heart.

After returning from the banquet Aurora became the star to curry favour with as she was seen with Xander.

Next day when Xander saw his sister sitting leisurely in a rocking chair, he laughed and asked her. 

" You are such a lazy bum. Did not dad said that you have to go the company to learn the rope of it and get the hang of it."

"You have to prove yourself before we can announce you as the successor and make connection."

As she heard her brother's nagging, she went up to him and held his hand swinging it left and right with puppy face she said.

"Can we go out to eat, please? And I'll start working in the company soon. So can you let me enjoy my freedom for few days."

Seeing her acting cute Xander gave in.
