Forbidden Romance (James x Reader)

Dilemmas

I stayed there on the balcony with James for a while and ultimately fell asleep on his shoulder. I wasn't sure how long I had been asleep, but when I woke up, I was still on the balcony, with a sleeping James next to me. He was kinda cute when he was asleep, and I randomly found myself running my fingers through his hair, careful not to wake him up, although he ultimately DID wake up a few minutes later. James looked up at me, yawned, and asked, "Do you want me to walk you home?" Confused, I looked at him like he was crazy... He probably drank last night, didn't he? It HAD to be the alcohol talking. "Don't worry about me, James, I'll just walk home on my own." After I said that, he looked at me like I was crazy, but just shrugged it off.

It was a lonely walk home. I should've accepted James' offer to walk me home. I just put in my earbuds and listened to my favorite pop playlist, but no matter what I did, I couldn't stop thinking about James. When I finally got home, my boss was waiting outside my house, and she looked angry... It was kinda terrifying and I couldn't stop myself from shivering at just the sight of her. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, she spoke, "Y/N, we have things to discuss. I saw you with Team Rocket last night. I knew that there was a traitor among our team, but I never would've expected you!" All I could do was glare at her, and I couldn't even speak, so I just wrote. 'I get that it looked wrong on my part, boss, but like it or not, I was only there to visit a friend. If it's a crime to be friends with James, then I am no longer a member of your team.' After writing that, I removed my Team Valor pin and jacket and threw them at her, then left her outside. As soon as I slammed the door in her face, my thoughts overwhelmed me. 'Darn , darn, darn!!! Why did I do that? Candela probably thinks I'm just like Arlo now!' I lost control of my emotions, again, and broke down crying. I was on the floor for a few minutes, and I did the only thing that I could think of; I called James and told him what had just happened.
