Finally. I've stopped crying. That took way too long.

I've been sitting on this bench for forty minutes. I love this park. I used to bring Beth and CC here all of the time. It was their favorite park.

"Michael?"

"What do you want, Noah?" I ask hesitantly. My voice is quiet and it cracks as I speak.

"You forgot your Illusion Disc. I needed to make sure that I got it to you before someone called the police or services," he tells me. I can hear him come up behind me before he rests his hand on my shoulder. He makes his way from my shoulder to my wrist, then holds it up. He carefully puts the main component into its base that is installed inside the top of my wrist. Then he wraps the disguising watch band around my wrist. He turns it on, then gently kisses my hand before he sets it down. "I also brought your phone in case you need someone to pick you up or talk to you." He puts my phone down on the bench a few inches away from me. He kisses the side of my head. "If you need me, just send me a text or call me. Come home whenever you feel you're ready, okay? Take all the time that you need."

"I can't do it."

Noah reluctantly steps around the bench to see my face, then crouches so he's not intimidating. "What do you mean? What can you not do?" he asks gently.

"This. I-I can't do this anymore."

He frowns. "I don't think I'm following."

"This!" I exclaim, waving my arms in hopes he'll get it.

"Do you..." He swallows hard and fiddles with his thumbs. "Do you mean dating? Being my boyfriend?"

I swallow back the sob rising in the back of my throat. "I... Mmhmm."

"May I ask why?"

He doesn't sound disappointed. Just concerned. He's not understanding.
