*:・゚✧*:・゚✧"Come on Ama'ia," Spider weaves through the trees to reach her, "Jake and Neytiri are calling for you." Ama'ia lifts her head from the makeshift cushion of leaves. Not now, she thought. Ama'ia appreciated the efforts the Sully family go to, to make her feel included, though sometimes it can become overtiring for her.
The entire Omatiaya Clan were currently preparing for Neteyam's coming of age. His fifteenth birthday only days away, the clan had been, for a lack of a better word, in haywire. The preparations over the top in Ama'ia's opinion, the spawn of the devil shouldn't be celebrated, she would mutter whenever she hears of the festivities.
In hindsight, Ama'ia should be equally as excited as the Sully's, her own birthday just a mere two weeks away. Though it was just a reminder of abandonment and Neteyam never let her forget.
"I don't want to go."
Spider finally reaches Ama'ia as she drops her head back down. A crease sets in between his eyebrows when he notices her hair. The usually bright blonde locks now caked in a clay like substance, to give the illusion of darker hair. His hand reaches out to grab a stray strand, "Ama'ia."
His tone wasn't meant to sound so insulting but it was enough for Ama'ia to stand from her laying position. She walks towards a tree, one with an engraving in it. A tree, although not like the one she was discovered under, matched in all aspects but location. Who are you? Written in anger a few years back, when in a fit of rage after yet another argument with Neteyam Ama'ia had destroyed a path. A path that led to this exact tree.
She ran her fingers over the letters, the tips tracing where she dug too deep. She had cried a lot that day, her insecurities plagued her mind, reminding her of unworthiness.
"I don't know why you listen to him," Spider steps closer. The pair listening to Neytiri's call in the distance. "Jake and Neytiri love you just as much as him, if not more. They treat you like their own because you are."
Lo'ak and Spider had been the two to find her. Ama'ia had been curled up at the base, wood chips covering her skin. The sight had bought them so much relief before they noticed the three words. From that day forward, they swore to be her protector. Much to Neteyam's dismay.
"He speaks his truth," Ama'ia turns her head slightly, "He knows that if it wasn't for his birth no celebrations would've took place and I would be alone and unwanted, if not dead." Spider didn't respond just grabbed her wrist to softly tug her in the direction of the clan.
