It'd been a while since the Phantom Thieves had defeated Shido. They had all continued their lives as if it wasn't forever changed by that span of a year. The Thieves, now just a group of young adults, still hung out together. College had been getting in the way with its stress inducing lessons, but it was nothing compared to their escalades the metaverse. Once it all ended, they were just a group of friends.
Luckily for the group, everyone stayed within the near vicinity of Yongen-Jaya and Shibuya. This helped keep LeBlanc on the #1 hang out spot for the group. Today was just like any other, Ren and his friends were hanging out up in the attic above the small cafe. The sun had recently set, leaving only the gang in the building. Sojiro telling Ren to lock the shop up behind him as he left for the night.
After Sojiro left, it was officially party time. Ren jogged upstairs and gave the group a small thumbs up, a sign they were able to finally be rowdy. Quickly everyone grabbed out snacks and beverages. Everyone opted to each bring something to share, leaving quite the pile of snacks. Ryuji made quick work to grab one of his favorite snacks, seeing Futaba had picked them up.
"Hey, leave some for the rest of us!!" Ann shouted at the blond, trying to make sure he left even a little for everyone else.
"Oh come on Ann, the night just started, don't make a fuss over just one bag of snacks!" The back and forth continued among everyone else's conversations. After a bit of time though, the conversation had slowed and started to come to a lull. Everyone started glancing around, wondering if there was any sort of plan besides talking? Or were they meant to just casually talk all evening. Such times where everyone could meet up were hardly normal after all, this couldn't go to waste.
"Does anyone have any ideas as to what we should do?" Makoto announced, bringing action back to the room. Everyone mumbled a little while thinking of an activity to do for the night. Eventually, Futaba piped up, "oo!! let's play Truth or Dare!"
"Why should we? Isn't that a child's game," Goro mumbled, only half involved in the conversation, pinching the bridge of his nose, "It's not like we don't know everything about each other after the metaverse."
"You're no fun Goro, lighten up a little!' Ann replied, "We don't know *everything* about each other, plus, you aren't even considering the dares!" While Ann technically made a decent point, Goro didn't want to admit that. For one, he didn't like to be wrong, but also, he didn't want the group to find out about any secrets he'd managed to keep under wraps so far.
"I for one, think it'd be fun, Akechi-kun. We never got to enjoy stuff like this in highschool." Haru chimed in.
"I just think we could somehow find something, anything, better than that." He retorted, a little exasperated. He didn't like that the rest of the group seemed to be on board with such an idea. He looked at Ren, thinking he'd be the only other sane person, but clearly he was so incredibly wrong.
Ren looked at Goro, smirking, "I guess you're just too scared you'll be bad at truth or dare." the raven said, trying to hold back an even bigger smile.
"Oh that's far from the truth and you know that."
"Really? Then I guess you'll just have to play with us."
Goro felt his blood pressure rise, but he couldn't back down from a challenge. He never could, it was his fatal flaw. "Fine. I guess I will then." The two of them sucked up in their conversation while the rest of the thieves waited for a unanimous yes from the whole group.
With everyone on board, the excitement started to fill the room. Everyone anxiously scooting around to get comfortable before the game officially started.
"Well, I believe Futaba should start as she was the one suggesting the idea." Yusuke said, softly nodding in agreeance with his own idea. Everyone seemed to agree, and that was it Truth or Dare could truly start.
