13 Not Again

This was the second time now that Ren and Goro had slept in the same bed. This was the first time however, that they were both sober. Goro opened his eyes, taking in his surroundings. That's right, Ren stayed the night, and when Goro was half asleep Ren came in because he was too scared to sleep alone, and now they were cuddling.

Wait. He had to back track. Why was he recounting things so nonchalantly. Ren stayed the night, after they basically cuddled and watched movies, and then they actually cuddled and fell asleep together in Goro's bed, and just before he fell asleep, to make things even better he kissed Ren and told him he loved him yet again. How were they going to sort this out when Ren woke up. Would they act like it was nothing, would Ren confess to him, maybe they'd call off the competition citing it was too weird. Goro groaned and Ren shifted underneath him. He heard a yawn from the other boy, who slowly stretched. He froze as soon as he became aware of the situation. He turned his head around and sheepishly smiled, "Ah. Good morning Goro. Lovely seeing you here."

Goro scoffed, "In my own bed? Yeah nice one. Good morning to you too."

Ren scooted away from the cuddle they still hadn't broken from and turned around to face Goro, his face immediately flushed pink. "Ah. You're shirtless. Yet again." He coughed slightly, trying to save his embarrassment.

"Oh get over it would you? You know nothing happened last night. Plus I prefer to sleep shirtless unlike Mr sweater and a t-shirt."

Ren laughed, "Pfft okay nerd." Goro was genuinely lost. Ren was acting like a child right now. He was teasing Goro like a bully would in elementary school. He only sighed and rolled out of bed.

He put on a shirt and looked at Ren, "Better?"

Ren stared at Goro, genuinely thinking. Goro saw the gears turning in Ren's mind. Jesus why'd he have to fall in love with such an idiot. "Mmm I don't know. Maybe I prefer shirtless Goro," Both of their faces heated at the comment Ren cleared his throat, "Because you're asleep. You can't argue with me when you're asleep." He added a faux laugh to the end of the sentence, but it was out of place. Goro knew Ren was lying and he found it hilarious that Ren was trying to cover up his comment as if he wasn't overly confident moments before.

He sighed and started to leave the room, "stay in bed as long as you want I'll make coffee." Ren's face heated, the two were basically acting like a real couple right now. Ren was honestly over the moon about the whole situation. Yes, it was extremely embarrassing last night when he was too scared to head home or sleep alone, however, it scored him some special time with Goro. They got super close on the couch, and they cuddled in the bed. Ren mentally squealed from excitement and knew he HAD to tell Ann about this as soon as he left. Ren made his way from the bedroom to the kitchen, waiting for the coffee to brew. He knew it wasn't as good as LeBlanc's, but it would do. Akira fidgeted in his seat at the island, he knew he had to probably apologize to Goro for his actions. He essentially forced Goro to let him stay over, he didn't want to disregard Goro's personal space. "Hey, Goro?" The brunette turned and looked at him, "I would like to apologize for last night, I didn't mean to stay the night, or force my way into your bed.." he played with his hair in an attempt to distract himself.

Goro sighed, "There's no reason to apologize Ren, I should've picked a different movie, I didn't know it'd scare you that much." He hesitated, "You didn't force yourself into my bed, I knew you weren't doing well so I was okay with it, it was my fault you were scared anyway, I picked the movie without thinking." He coughed into his hand and finished brewing the coffee. Ren stayed quiet, only nodding in response. Goro handed Ren his cup of coffee and the two sat in silence. They enjoyed the coffee and each other's company.

Ren eventually decided to speak, "I should uh, go home soon shouldn't I?"

'Please stay, I don't want you to leave' Goro thought, but he knew he couldn't say that. He couldn't be weaker than he already was. "Yeah probably, but it's technically up to you."
