Sorry guys! I haven’t updated this story in a while and I’ve missed it!! But here’s the next chapter so I hope you guys like it!

Lydia’s POV

My mother was very happy when I told her about the dancing opportunity. She was also very supportive in my dreams.

But today was Sunday, which meant I helped teach an 8-year-old dance class at the studio. I got and got ready. I put on some dark grey dancing spandex shorts, and a light grey and blue long sleeve dri-fit shirt form Nike. (picture on the side) Then I put on some old grey sweat pants so I didn’t have to walk in and out of the studio in only dancing spandex. I put my hair in a high sock bun. I ate breakfast ad said goodbye to my mom before I left and went out to my car. I put my gym bag in the passenger’s seat and my purse on the floor in front of the passengers seat. I checked my phone. 1 new message.

From Harry:

Niall said you taught a dance class till 1. We should get lunch afterwards. What do ya say?? :)

To Harry:

Sure :) theres a Olive Garden down the street from the studio, you can just come to the studio at 1 and we can walk down to it. that okay?

SEND!

I began to drive. I arrived at the studio around 12:15. Class started at 12:30 for the little girls. I got my gym bag and put my purse in the back seats. I walked up to the front door and Harry texted back.

From Harry: That’s perfect :) see you then love

I walked in and set my gym bag in my locker. I took my sweat pants off and put my dance shoes on. I walked into Studio D where the class was held. Bethany, the main teacher who was about 35 was sitting at her desk on her computer. I waved to her and she waved back. Her and Ray were probably my best friends out of school, even though they were older. They were both nice and treated me as if I were older than 17.

3 little girls came running up to me.

There names were Marie, Siri, and Rachel.

“Lydia Lydia!” they all shouted.

“Hi girls!” I said leaning down to give them a hug.

“We all got our splits down! We’ve been practicing!” said Siri.

“Now we be just like you Lydia!” said Marie.

“That’s great girls! Why don’t you let me see!” I said.

“Okay. On 3! 1. 2. 3!” said Rachel as they all when slowly down into splits in unison.

“Awesome job! You guys have definitely been practicing.” I said smiling at them.

“Okay ladies, get into positions for warm-ups!” said Bethany getting up from her desk and clapping her hands. All the girls hustled to their assigned spots.

“Let’s stretch our legs first.” Said Bethany. All the girls mirrored me and Bethany as we showed them the stretches to do. After stretching, the girls began working on the routine they’ve been working on for weeks. The recital was coming up and this was one of the most important recitals of the year. They went through it slowly at first. I walked around helped girls fix and correct their problems so the dance looked really good.

“Okay ladies! Now were gonna try it with the music!” said Bethany. “We have 10 minutes left so lets get it the first time and we will maybe have a dance off.”

All the girls squealed and jumped up and down.

“I want to beat Lydia!” shouted a girl named Alexis. Me and Bethany laughed.

“Lydia, will you go get the CD? Its in Studio A on top of the cabinet.” Said Bethany.

“Sure.” I said. I walked out of Studio D and went down the hall. I got to Studio A. I unlocked the door with the key Bethany gave me and walked over to the cabinet. I grabbed the CD case and made sure it was the right CD.

All of the sudden, I heard a big boom and I’m on the floor with a wooded plank on top of me. It’s hot in the room and as my eyes adjust, I realized the whole room is on fire. Something must’ve exploded in the basement under the dance school! I slowly pushed the heavy plank off of me and get up. My leg hurts. It has some cuts, probably from being thrown from the explosion.  There is fire and wood everywhere. I limp over t the door. I ant stop coughing. I tried to open it but its stuck. There must be something blocking it from the other side. I pound on the door.

“HELP!!” I scream. I cough again and can’t stop. I collapse to my knees. I can barely breath. Then I hear glass break from the other side of the room. I turn to try to see what it is.

I can only see a shadowy figure through the flames and smoke. I’m still coughing and on my knees leaning over on the ground.

“LYDIA!??” I hear a familiar voice. The figure pushes thought some wood and I see its Harry.

“Harry.” I try to choke out.

“It’s gonna be okay Lydia. Its gonna be okay.” He says kneeling next to me quickly.

He picks me up bridal style like he had a couple nights ago and began carrying me over to the window. He lifts me up so I can get out. I stop coughing once I breath in fresh air. I turn around to the window to help him out.

“Go Lydia.” He says.

“But Harry!” I say.

“No I’m gonna get the others!” he says.

“Harry!” I shout but he’s already through the flames and smoke.

I am pulled away by some firefighters. They pulled me to the street where fire trucks and ambulances are waiting.

“NO! HE’S IN THERE!” I shout trying to get out of the firefighters grip. There were 3 holding me back. Tears are streaming down my face.

“NOOOO! LET ME GO! HE’S IN THERE!” I shout even louder.

And right then, another explosion goes off in the school and the roof collapses. The school now looks like a big pile of wood with fire everywhere.

“HARRYYY!!” I scream in horror as loud as I could.

I collapse to my knees and began crying the most I’ve ever cried before.

“It’s all my fault! He’s gone!” I say between cries.

“Shhh, its okay.” Says a firefighter as he picks me up. “We need to get her to the hospital to get checked for injuries.” He says to another firefighter.

He nodded and opens the ambulance door. They set me on a stretcher and drove me to the hospital.
