Lilyan Martin

"Okay bye guys. We will go get ready." My mum and her 2 minions said and then they left, shutting the door behind them.

Both mean scoff at me and left.

The only noise I could hear was my heartbeat. I was scared. I've never been in this situation before.

I couldn't move or speak, I could only cry.

After 30 minutes of crying, I felt someone move.

It was Wilbur. He went to the basement and picked me up just for him to throw me back to the ground.

"You really like to make things worse for yourself huh? Why did you try to fight me?" Wilbur said.

I stayed silent with tears still running down my face.

Wilbur sighed and rolled his eyes. He walked over to me and slapped me across the face, sending me stumbling back against the wall.

"Sit up properly." He demanded.

I managed to sit up, blood began to drip down my mouth, and my face was turning purple. My head started to spin a bit.

"Please don't hit me again." I whispered.

"I'll do it again, again, and again. Now do not, I mean do not talk back to me."

"Please sir I don't wanna get hit again." I said, and started crying again.

Wilbur seemed irritated, he looked towards his left and his expression quickly changed.

"Oh, oh, no." Josh gasped.

I looked towards his left to see a tall broad shouldered figure against the wall.

"Don't hurt her." Came a voice.

I tried to see the person who spoke, but I couldn't quite make out their features.

Wilbur looked at the figure, and then down at me, and then at the figure once more.

"It's okay, she knows her place. She knows what will happen if she tries to disrespect me again." Wilbur spat.

"Please just leave her alone."  The figure said.

I saw wilbur shake his head, he was clearly not afraid of this figure.

"Why do you care?" Wilbur said.

"Don't ask me that. Just leave her alone." The figure said.

"Or what? I'm gonna hit her." Josh yelled.

"Please just don't. She's had enough. Leave her be."

Wilbur then walked over to me, and grabbed my arm, and forced me to lift myself up to a standing position.

I let out a shriek of pain, and fell. Wilbur just glared down at me.

"Why are you asking me not to hit her? She's my daughter. I can hit her as much as I want."

"Please don't." The figure said.
