As the secondary hero of Earth, Ultimatrix Wielder Alex Grinder has been getting much better with his time as a hero and a member of the Plumbers. But more recently, Alex had been on an unexpected interdimensional travel to an entirely new dimension...
It was another calm day in Griffin Rock, and it was very early in the morning as the sun was rising high in the sky. I was still in bed as the sun shone through my window and onto my face making me squint and groan as I got up. I rubbed some sleep out of my eyes as I yawned sleepily.
(Alex): Another day, another time to find something to do.
So I stood up and went to go have a shower to wake myself up. Although me and my team had only lived in Griffin Rock for over several days now, I was starting to feel a little homesick. But I was glad that I still had the little device that Professor Burnet had given me all those days ago as we could go back to my home dimension whenever we wanted. But we just had to get used to living here for a while until we could go home again.
After having my shower, I made my way downstairs to make some breakfast for myself. But as I was about to walk past the front door, I noticed a letter with the word IMPORTANT on the front. I was a little curious about the letter, so I picked it up and took it with me as I went to the kitchen. I placed the letter on the table as I put four slices of toast into the toaster. I then sat down just as the slightly burnt slices of toast sprung out of the toaster and landed on my plate. I then buttered all four slices and opened the letter. As I was eating my toast, I looked through the letter until I noticed that it was asking me to go to a place called the "Rescue Bots Training Academy". I was a little bemused by what this meant exactly.
(Alex): Hmm... I guess it wouldn't hurt to actually visit. But right now, I should probably relax for a while.
After finishing my breakfast, washing my plate and putting away, I went into the front room where Coral was waiting for me. I then sat down next to her and smiled. It was definitely gonna be a long day for all of us; especially me at least.
A few hours had passed since I had received the letter and I had spent those hours playing some video games and whatnot. But when I looked at the clock, I realised that I needed to head over to the Rescue Bots Training Academy quickly! Luckily, the others were still in the room with me as I was thinking. I closed my eyes and snapped my fingers just as we disappeared in a puff of smoke. Eventually, we reappeared in front of the Rescue Bots Training Academy which looked surprisingly cool.

(Alex): Well... this is it. The Rescue Bots Training Academy.
(Gothitelle): Um... Alex? Should we really be here? I don't think it's safe.
(Alex): Gothitelle; relax okay? The letter said to come here specifically. Now, let's head inside and see who's waiting for us.
And so we carefully walked up to the doors which opened automatically which only slightly caught us off guard. I looked around before taking a deep breath and I walked inside the building with my team following close behind me. As we walked through the building, I noticed that there was a large group of people waiting for us in the main area! I was really annoyed.
(Alex): Oh gimme a big fat break!
[(JunkBot): I'll give you guys some cake if you get the reference!)]
(Alex): And here I thought that I wouldn't have to see them again! I knew there was a catch! *sighs.* I suppose I better introduce us to them.
I slowly walked over to the main area with my Pokémon carefully following behind me. As we approached the main area, I was beginning to have second thoughts about coming here. Eventually, we made it into the main area where they were waiting for us. I was still a little nervous about talking to them. So I took another deep breath and started speaking to them.
(Alex): I presume that you were waiting for us?
(Chief Burns): We were in fact. I was beginning to wonder when you were going to show up.
(Alex): I know. And I also wanted to heavily apologise for any trouble I may have caused for you guys.
Just then, a rather calm and friendly voice spoke out which only slightly caught me off guard.
(???): There is no need to apologise Human.
I looked and saw a tall male Autobot with red and blue accents. I then remembered seeing him once before when I visited Nevada for the first time. For some strange reason, I felt rather comfortable around him. I smiled.
(Alex): Well... I guess there's really nothing more I can say. But, why exactly did you ask us to come here?
Chief Burns and Optimus then explained to me that since they have seen my abilities in action, they wanted me to join them and keep Griffin Rock safe. I was a little hesitant about it, but I was willing to try.
(Alex): *sighs.* I guess you do have a point. And I'm willing to trust you. And besides, with my team who will always be by my side, we could be an unstoppable rescue force to reckon with!
(Hotshot): Sounds good to me!
(Alex): Heh, I knew you'd agree with that. But for now, I think we should just get to know each other better.
And so we did just that. We talked for a while about certain things whilst I apologised to Heatwave and Quickshadow for nearly beating the crap out of them the last time we met. Luckily they accepted my apology and we moved past it and put it behind us. Yet, I was wondering if anything crazy was going to happen to me during my time here in Griffin Rock...
[(Narrator): To be continued...)]
(JunkBot): And maybe you might be right Alex. But who knows? Maybe it might just happen.
Once again, I apologise for the long delay on this chapter; I seriously do not know what happened. I got completely sidetracked with games, story ideas dropped on my forehead, I'm an idiot and don't capitalise when things do well-- but besides that, I apologise for the delay.
So in the next chapter, Alex will be given a mission to investigate a crashed ship and will unknowingly reunite with his family members!
