"Why did you do that Hyunjin?" Changbin asked as he brushed his hair back in anger.

"They des-"

"No they did not. Just what kind of ego you are letting win over yourself by torturing some people who weren't wrong to start with?!"

"Changbin are you really in love with that guy?!"

"Hyunjin this is the only thing I absolutely hate about you! You think you are superior than others and whatever you do is right. Right at this moment, you are guilty, but you're intentionally converting it into anger by blaming them." The other boy said as he left Hyunjin alone in his room.

Hyunjin hated Han Jisung. He hated the way he felt whenever Jisung was around him. He hated how his heart used to double it's beating whenever Jisung used to look in his eyes.

Chan sighed as he felt his head throbbing from pain for the nth time. He needed to produce songs as much as he could. The more he produced, the more he could get paid. The whole responsibility of his younger brother was on his shoulders and Chan always wanted him to be happy.

"Hey Chan! Are you okay?" Jinyoung, an idol from the company he works in, asked.

"Yes hyung. It's probably fatigue. But I'm fine, I can work." Chan replied as he shot a smile to the elder who worriedly looked at him.

"Give yourself a break. You can't overwork yourself. Jisung would understand. " Jinyoung said as he patted Chan's shoulder.

He heard his ringtone.

Jeongin calling...

Chan smiled. Something about Jeongin was really adorable to him. The way he cared for everyone, the way he always stood by his brother's side, the way his eyes fold whenever he smiles-
He picked the phone up.

"Channie hyung! Sungie... He.."

"What happened Jeongin?" Chan furrowed his eyebrows as he heard Jeongin's panicked voice.

"Will you be able to come home right now?"

"Yes I'm coming." Chan hung up as he practically dashed out of the office.

2 hours before:

Here was Hyunjin, emptily strumming the strings of his guitar. His thoughts were all mixed. He felt the need to cry, but he couldn't form a reason to cry. There were too many reasons in his mind, and he was lazy to actually find one to cry out of all those. He let out a cold sigh as he picked his jacket up and made his way to the doorway.

"Mom! I'm going for a walk. I'll be back." He yelled.

But no response. Why did he even expect. Don't get him wrong, he loved his mom, so did she. But she used to work 24/7 and it was getting dangerous for her health.

Wow. Another reason to cry.

His long locks delicately covered the side of his forehead as he felt cold breeze hitting his skin. It was a bit colder that day. Hyunjin took some deep breaths, trying to calm the chaos that was running in his head. Suddenly, he felt his stomach groaning. He realized after college, he didn't eat anything because apparently he was missing Changbin.

*ding*
The sliding door opened as the young man entered the convenience store. Hyunjin hurriedly picked a tuna mayo triangle kimbap, a cup ramyeon and a drink as he made way to the counter, seeing the worker's back who was arranging some bills.

"Excuse me, I'd like to pay-" Hyunjin said as the worker turned to him, smiling.

It was the second time he saw Jisung smiling. The boy's cheeks looked fluffier as his mouth used to form a heart shape. It was very cute to Hyunjin. When he saw that smile for the first time in the canteen, it made him feel things. But this time, it made his heart ache.

Jisung put on his fake smile for the nth time of the day as he turned around to greet the customer, but stopped as soon as he saw his face.

"Sure." Jisung said as he started scanning the foods.

Hyunjin did nothing but stared at Jisung as he was doing his work. His eyes, they looked tired. His hands were shaking. He looked pale. But still, the smile on his face didn't fade.

"Would you like to eat them here?" Hyunjin snapped out of his thoughts as he heard Jisung speaking.

"Yes." He replied.

As Hyunjin was eating the ramyeon, he saw a girl hugging Jisung, bidding him goodbyes, making Jisung smile genuinely.

"Jisung! Are you sure you'll be fine with closing the store today?" Lia asked for the tenth time as Jisung smiled and nodded.

He was grateful to Lia, in a way, she helped him to get this job. They got pretty close in just a few days.

"Yes, once the last customer leaves, I'll head home. Don't worry Lia, get home safely." He replied as he side hugged his coworker and smiled at her.

As Jisung felt a stare on him, he looked towards the direction of Hyunjin, who, in shock, choked on his ramyeon due to the sudden eye contact. He coughed and coughed until he saw another drink on his table.

"It's on house. " Jisung said smiling, as he ignored Hyunjin and made his way towards the desk, but was stopped by Hyunjin.

He felt a hand grabbing his wrist to stop him. He hated the fact that his heart started beating faster.

"Stop it."

"What?"

"Stop with the fake smiles. You look disgusting."

Hyunjin instantly regretted what he said. Jisung's fake smile faded and now, he was seeing Hyunjin as the boy who is the cause of his problems in school, and not as a customer.

"Alright. I thought you'd be better than this." He took the drink from the table and put it again in the refrigerator.

"Don't expect me to. I'm always like this." Hyunjin said as he threw the trash and exited the store, leaving a teary eyed Jisung behind.

It was his last attempt to make everything okay, to mend whatever relationship he and Hyunjin had, but oh well.

Jisung could swear he saw the other boy crying. He saw tears rolling down from Hyunjin's cheeks. But why?
