CHARLOTTE POV.
APRIL 12 2022.

I went over to Sophia and Kai's place to watch Chelsea's match against Real Madrid with Sophia and Paula. Katrine had chosen to fly to Madrid with the team. The team had flown to Spain to play, and the three of us had decided to stay in London. We knew that the boys would appreciate our support, but we all had our own lives and jobs in London as well. Besides, I wasn't comfortable with taking the team's private plane and flying out to Madrid with the entire team. We had just kissed for the first time a few days ago, after going on dates for a little over a month.

The three of us cuddled on Sophia's couch to watch the match, each with a glass of champagne and a charcuterie board to share. Chelsea ended up winning 3-2. Mason scored the first goal and provided the assist for the second, and Timo scored the third goal, much to Paula's delight. But Real Madrid scored two to catch up, and Chelsea was eliminated from the Champions League with an aggregate score of 5-4. The three of us all knew how disappointed the team would be, considering that they had been leading 3-0 for the majority of the game, which would have ensured them advancing to the semis.

I fell asleep as I was texting Mason, and I woke up as the sun was rising, since we had forgotten to close the curtains before we fell asleep. I looked around me to see that Paula and Sophia were waking up as well, probably because of the sunlight. 

"Oh my god. It's way too early for this." Paula said. "Sophia, can you close the curtains?" 

"You want me to get out of bed to close the curtains? I'm just going under the covers." Sophia replied, pulling the blanket over her face.
