Chapter 18: Blacked Out!

She looked at me intensely, "Did you buy these?"

I looked at the medicines and nodded.

"Um.... Thank you, but I'm not sick anymore so you should use instead of me." she told me.

I looked at her, wide-eyed, "I..I'm not sick! Please just accept it."

I walked away, trying to hold my tears.

'I guess she won't accept anything from me.... How stupid of me to do all this thing for nothing.' I thought as tears stream down my cheeks.

*Baekhyun's POV*

I went back to the dorm and went to the kitchen to drink some water - cold water.

I know I'm not supposed to drink cold water when I'm having a headache since it will make it worse but I didn't care since I won't be doing anything anyway.

After taking a drink, I changed my clothes and went straight to bed.

The next morning...

I woke up in the morning and my whole body was still aching.

I wonder why my fever in not going down...

But anyway, since we have some schedules today, I took a quick shower and wore my sweater.

As I went out of the room, I saw Chen looking at me weirdly.

"Hyung, are you okay?" he asked.

"Yea, I'm fine... why?" I answered, obviously lying.

"It's hot here and you're wearing a sweater - do you perhaps feel cold?" he questioned.

"Hot? It's so cold today." I muttered.

Chen frowned and put his hand on my forehead, which freaked me out a little.

"Hyung! You're having a fever, you should rest." he informed.

"No, I can't keep on skipping our schedules. I've skipped practice yesterday, so let me join today's schedule at least." I argued back.

He sighed, "Ok, just... take care of yourself hyung. Tell me when you're not feeling well and I'll tell the manager to excuse you from the other schedules."

I nodded and we both went downstairs.

"Everyone ready?" Manager hyung asked.

"Nae!" we answered in unison.

At KBS broadcasting station...

We were waiting in the waiting room and my whole body was aching but I ignored it anyway.

"Guys, let's go to the backstage! We're up next!" Suho informed.

We all nodded and started heading our way to the backstage.

"Baek, kwenchana? You look pale..." Chanyeol asked, concerned.

"I'm fine... just a little dizzy." I assured.

Chanyeol nodded and smile, "Ok, let's get ready."

We walked on stage and the fans started cheering.
