The next morning, school was still out so (Y/N) decided to train in his mindscape with Meloetta. After a couple of hours in the real world, he starts to fade from the mindscape and awakens to the real world. He opened his eyes and saw his father with a look that meant business.
Alex: We need to talk. Let's head downstairs and speak there.
(Y/N) only nodded, since whenever his father had that look, something was happening. He never questioned it, and as they approached the private room just for them, Alex just sighed and was worried how (Y/N) would take it.
Alex: Son, there's something you should know...I kept it from you for a while, and I got worried if you'd hate me for it but...you're not entirely human....
(Y/N): W-what do you mean?
Alex: I see you still wear that pendant....that's because it belonged to someone you may have never met....your mother....
(Y/N) was shocked beyond belief, as he had no clue who his mother was, and is starting to hyperventilate a little. Alex held onto his sons shoulders to calm him down, which worked temporarily, until he spoke again...
Alex: I didn't want to keep it from you for so long, but your mother....her name is Ophis....
In (Y/N)s mind, Meloetta heard this and began to panic, understandably so. She never knew that (Y/N) was the son of the Dragon God of Infinity. (Y/N) stood there in absolute silence, trying to process what he just heard. He took a seat in a nearby chair and stayed dead silent on the new information. Tears then started to form in his eyes, and he had to ask the question.
(Y/N): W-why....why did she leave us....
Alex had remained silent, as he was just as hurt seeing his son in this state. (Y/N) spoke again, and it hurt his heart.
(Y/N): Did....did she not...love me...?
Alex: Son...your mother wanted to be with you so bad all these years....before she left, she had told me what was happening.
Flashback 17 years ago
A young Aleksander Shikolai was holding his newborn son, (Y/N), in his arms. Across from him was the woman who had loved Alex and continued to love him even after their son was born: Ophis, the Ouroboros Dragon.

Alex: Ophis, are you sure this is best for (Y/N)?
Ophis: *tearing up* Not until he's older. I wish I could stay in his life, but...I don't want him to be targeted by everyone...
Alex: I understand. I just wish that he could have something to at least remember you by.
Ophis: *hands him an emerald pendant* This should help him remember me. I do not wish to leave him, but I must to make sure he isn't used by anyone...I'm sorry...
Alex: I will do everything I can in order to make sure he knows you'll always be with him.
(Y/N) giggled, and Ophis only was hurt more in leaving her newborn son. She then gave (Y/N) a kiss on his forehead, and put the pendant around him. Her heart was breaking as she was about to leave.
Ophis: I'm sorry I won't be there for you when it's needed...I love you, my little hatchling...
She then opened a portal, took one final look at Alex and her son, and left with tears flowing. Ophis only hoped that he would not hate her for this, but hopefully understands why she had to do it.
Flashback End
(Y/N) had a look of shock, with the news that his mother always loved him, and never wanted to leave him. He then looked down and touched the pendant. A small smile formed on his face, hoping to see his mother once more. Unknown to him, Ophis was hidden inside the room, concealing her presence and was looking at her son all grown up with a smile.
Ophis: 'You have grown so much. I just hope you can forgive me for not being in your life for so long...'
(Y/N): I understand why she had to leave. I will never hate her for it, as it's for my protection. But...I just wish I could see her once more, and say it right to her.
Ophis heard it clearly, and wanted nothing more than to hold her son tight. She felt that it was the right time to show herself to her son, and looked at Alex for him to say it.
Alex: Son, would you like to see her at this time?
(Y/N): I'd love nothing more than to see her, and tell her how much I love and missed her...I just want her to be proud of me.
Ophis: I always will be, my little hatchling.
(Y/N) looked up and saw someone appear from thin air. He saw his mother Ophis, who was trying so hard not to cry. (Y/N) got up, slowly approached her, and when she put a hand on his cheek, he hugged Ophis and broke down in tears. Ophis had broken down as well, with mother and son finally reunited for the first time in so many years. 20 minutes later, they stopped crying and look at each other's eyes.
Ophis: I've always been proud of you, my son. I'm so happy that you understand why I had to leave. I never wanted to hurt you this way, but...
(Y/N) only brought her in a tight hug, and she was happy her son was here with her. Ophis then realized that there was something else that she needed to tell him.
Ophis: Son, I believe there's something you should know.
(Y/N): What is it, mom?
Ophis internally screamed in happiness that he called her mom, but kept it inside and continued.
Ophis: I know I've done some bad things back then, but I'm not proud to say this...there's a group I formed that wanted to kill Great Red, the other dragon god besides me. They are after you and want to kill you...I never wanted them to go after you, but after finding out about your existence....They're going to end you...only one person has stood beside me and wanted to meet you herself...her name is Katerea Leviathan, a descendant of the original.
(Y/N): I see...if they want me dead, I'm not going down without a fight.
Ophis saw the fire in his eyes, and smiled at his conviction to fight back.
Ophis: Then...I'm gonna stay with you from now on...Did you prepare the room for me again, Alex?
Alex: It's prepared. But how will we explain this to the other two?
(Y/N): If it's okay, we all tell them together...I just hope they understand who and what I truly am...
Ophis: I'm sure they will. Shall we tell them today?
(Y/N): Yea. They need to know soon.
With that statement, all three of them shared a hug, very happy that they can be a happy family once more. Now, they are faced with some very tough challenges: telling the two daughters/sisters of what (Y/N) and Ophis truly are, and the oncoming battle that is coming soon.
Alright, new chapter is up! Yes, I chose Ophis to be the mother of (Y/N), and I have given her a reason she left.
