You can hear your footsteps echo off of the pavement as you walk down the lonely street.

You knew you should have accepted Jen's offer because you cannot drive yourself, but you really enjoy walking in the evenings and he had already done enough.

He was right, though… It is extremely chilly. Your body tenses up and you shove your hands into your pockets, regretting not having brought a jacket.

The tips of your ears burn and your nose starts to run. As you walk you spot a little convenience store and decide to go inside, not only to warm up but to grab some food, you are famished.

You stand back and look through the shelves, trying to decide what type of ramen you'd like to eat.

But as you reach up to grab a pack you suddenly hear a man's voice behind you, only inches away from your ear.

"If you want to eat ramen you can come over to my place."

"Fuck off, creep!" You shout and turn around quickly, swinging your gym bag.

"Calm down Y/N! It's just me." Jungkook bursts into laughter, holding his hands out in front of him to soften the blow of your bag. "I'm sorry for teasing you but your reaction was so worth it."

You glare at him and hit his arm one more time. He just laughs harder.

"What are you doing out so late by yourself anyway?" He asks.

"I could ask you the same thing."

"I couldn't sleep and I was craving some banana milk." He grins, showing you the bottle in his hand. "Plus I only live down the street, so it wasn't a far walk."

"I practiced late so I'm on my way home, but I got hungry." You sigh, grabbing your ramen off of the shelf.

"Well since we are both here, let's eat together."

He reaches past you to grab a bag of ramen and you cook it, then you find a place at a small table by the window and sit down to eat.

"Here Y/N, have some of my kimchi." He opens a small container of kimchi he had bought and uses his chopsticks to put it on top of your noodles.

"Thanks." You smile.

Nothing beats instant ramen. The warmth of the noodles and the spice of the kimchi were just what you had needed to warm yourself up.

You stuff your face, almost forgetting that Jungkook was present. When you look up you both make eye contact, leaving you wondering if he had been staring at you the whole time.

"Is there something on my face?" You suddenly feel embarrassed, wiping your chin with a napkin.

"No… I was just thinking about how good you look tonight."

His sudden compliment takes you off guard and you shove your mouth full of noodles to try and hide the smile that formed across your face.

As you both eat you chat casually… and before you had realized it it had gotten extremely late.

"I should get home…" you glance at your watch. "If not I'll be a total zombie at practice tomorrow!"

He watches you get up from the table and throw away your waste.

"All right, Y/N. Sleep well." He smiles warmly.

You say your goodbyes and head back out onto the cold, dark street.

You stare down at your phone as you walk, texting back and forth with your friend Leo and telling him about your day.

Until…

"Hello cutie." A deep voice echos through the blackness. "What's a little thing like you doing walking all alone?"

"Not funny Jungkook." You look up from your screen, rolling your eyes.

"Who's Jungkook?"

Your heart stops as you look in the direction of the voice. A drunk man stumbles out of an empty alleyway, a bottle gripped tightly in his fist. You slowly back away, preparing yourself to run.

"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you… unless you give me a reason to."

You ignore him and sprint as fast as you can in the direction of your home.

You look down at your phone again as you run, dialing your friends number but accidentally dropping it as you raise it up to your ear.

"Damn it!" You scream and look over your shoulder, the man is chasing you. You don't bother to go back for your phone… It is not worth it.

After what had felt like a decade you arrive home and lock your door behind you. You rest your back against it and slide onto the floor, you were out of breath and your heart felt like it would burst out of your chest.

Once you calm down a little you make a warm cup of tea and try to fall to sleep, but you are unable to.

The next morning it was a warm day, Yoongi had decided to go for a walk to the studio.

He walks with his hands in his jacket, dragging his feet and staring up into the sky until something hits the toe of his shoe.

"What's this?" He kneels down to pick it up, it was somebody's cellphone.

He turns on the screen to see a photo of you and a man hugging at what seemed like a party.

"Does Y/N have a boyfriend?" He scratches his head, wondering why you had yet to mention it.

Unbeknownst to him it was a photo of you and your best friend at your last birthday party.

You also had a bunch of missed calls and text messages from him since you had called him so late last night and not answered.

"I really like Y/N, so I shouldn't let this discourage me." He exhales. "I should give them their phone back when I see them at the studio."

He stares down at the phone, rolling it over in his hands.

"But i can't just give it back easily." He grins, shoving your phone into his pocket and continuing his walk.

"You had me worried sick! You know I barely slept! I even went to your house this morning and you weren't there!" Leo lectures you through the phone.

You had called him in a booth at the bus stop on your way to the studio.

"I know, I know! I'm sorry! I left for practice early." You apologize. "I'll probably try and buy a new phone when I'm done practicing….I'll call you then, okay?"

"You better or I'm going to come looking for you!"

You shake your head as you hang up the phone, you get on the bus as you had still felt uneasy about walking.
