Chapter Four: Life with the pack

Since Amber and Onyx haven't marked and mated each other yet she can't mind-link with anyone to find out who is at the pack house waiting for her. As Onyx and the others set out for the return trip to the pack house, the visitors were getting nervous about what Amber and Onyx would think about her long-lost aunt and uncle, Luna Ember and Alpha Mateo Scott showing up now instead of when she needed them three weeks ago. Sofia and the other omegas were too busy with the preparation of dinner to entertain the Scotts. Just as Alpha Mateo gets up to pace around the lounge room, Onyx, and the others came in the door. Archer walked into the family room and got the Scotts. When they came out of the room, Amber had just about passed because Alpha Mateo looked exactly like her father so much to be his twin brother. She must have voiced that thought because he hung his head and said "No, I'm his twin brother, Mateo." This is my mate and your aunt Ember, he motions to the woman beside him. Amber bursts into tears and runs over to hug them. She asks them where have they been all this time. Alpha Mateo tells her that they have been on the west coast and are the leaders of one of the strongest packs there. They came back east because they heard that her parents had died and they also felt the connection with them break unexpectedly, so they mind-linked Alpha Colton to see what was going on, he told Mateo what happened, and they made plans to come east as soon as possible. They were unhappy that they missed the funeral, cremation, and birthday party.

Mateo said that he was happy that she had found her fated mate and had moved to his pack. He just wasn't happy with who her mate turned out to be. However, if she was happy then he was happy for her. She told him that she was happy with her mate. Onyx and Amber asked her aunt and uncle if they wanted to stay the weekend with them and they said they would but then they had to make the return trip home. After dinner, they sat in the family room and talked with Onyx and Amber about their lives on the west coast. They described their lives as busy beavers making a home but they are werewolves. That comment made everyone laugh so much that they doubled over in laughter. They also talked about the family members that they left behind.

It was getting late, so they all decided to turn in for the night. As Amber and Onyx got ready for bed, Amber could not help but think about all the information she had learned that day. She was surprised that her parents did not tell her that she had an aunt and uncle, let alone cousins she has never met. She voiced these concerns to Onyx his reply was "There must have been a reason for them not telling you."  She thought about it for a few minutes and agreed with him that there must have been a reason for her parents to not tell her that she had more family than just her stepbrother and her. However, they will never know because the truth died with her parents.

That evening as Onyx and Amber got ready for bed they started to kiss and make out. He kissed her along her jawline, down her neck to the spot where his mark would be, and began sucking on that spot. He heard her outcry of hunger for him and he raised his head to ask if she was ready for this, because he can wait for her if he has to. She looks at him with love shining in her eyes and nods her head yes. He kisses her again only this time more passionately. As his lips meet her mouth, he nibbles on her bottom lip, then he swipes his tongue over the seam of her lips, she gasps, and he thrust his tongue into her mouth and learned every inch of her sweet mouth. He then traces kisses across her cheek to her ear, where he nibbled on it, making her shiver. He traces kisses down her throat to her marking spot and sucked on hard enough to leave a hickey. She let out a moan and begged for more. He started to unbutton her blouse, and as he opened a button, he would kiss the skin that he uncovered. As he got to the bottom button he took extra caretaking the shirt off of her. She was wearing a white lace bra and panties set that she bought at a boutique in the town near her old pack. When Onyx saw the way the bra and the way the bra looked on her his eyes darkened. He started sucking on her nipple right through the lace of her bra. He kissed his way down to her pajama bottoms, and he then helped her out of her pajamas.
