Amber and Clara are planning a birthday party for Onyx because his birthday is Christmas Eve. Everyone is preparing for the holidays and his birthday. He always gets extra presents this time of year because his birthday is the day before Christmas. The weather service is calling for a major snowstorm to hit the eastern seaboard around midnight on Christmas Eve, bringing up to ten to fifteen inches of snow to the area. The Blue Twilight pack territory had already been hit with five inches of snow a week ago. Now they are supposed to get another ten to fifteen inches. If they get that much snow they will be snowed in for a while. They won't be able to go outside for runs if they are hit with that much snow that the weather service is calling for.
The Blue Twilight pack is not worried about the threat of this big snowstorm that is about to dump a lot of snow on them, they are concerned about the party they are about to throw for Onyx on his birthday. The omegas, Amber, and Clara are standing in the kitchen making sure that they have enough food for the party and the whole pack, they had gotten word that the snow that they got last week made the roads impossible to travel on. Some of the roads have not been plowed yet, so some of his friends will not be coming to the party.
As the party began at around eight pm, the snow started falling and it was in large heavy flakes. Amber was looking out one of the windows at the falling snow, it looked like a blizzard outside it was zero visibility. The pack members had a hard time finding the pack house in the blinding snow. They mind-linked the Alpha to tell him that they are not able to make it to the party this year because of the blinding snow. It snowed for a day and a half, dumping a total of ten inches on top of the five that they already had, making the total amount of fifteen inches of snow. The party consists of just Onyx, Amber, Clara, and Archer. They decided to go ahead with the party even if it was just them.
They started with the succulent dinner that was made for the Alpha's birthday. The omegas made butterfly shrimp, scallops, lobster, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, and a triple-layer fudge cake. Then they moved on to the gifts that everyone got Onyx for his birthday. The pack plans to give their gifts to him when they can dig their way through the snow and reach the pack house. Amber got him an iPad to help him keep track of all the paperwork he has on his desk. Clara got him a wireless scanner and printer. Archer got him a shredder machine. Onyx didn't know what to do with all of his gifts other than to say thank you and that he would put them to good use.
It took several days and many hours of hard work to get the paths shoveled out with all of the warriors working to get to the pack house to make sure everything is fine there before clearing up more paths around the area. The snow was so high that it covered most of the houses that the pack members had built for themselves and the children could not play in it without being buried in the deepest snow. When the warriors got all the paths uncovered and plowed a new year had started. 2001 is going to be a great year to look forward to.
By the time the snow melted, Spring had arrived and the ground was soggy from too much moisture. The pack was learning about Amber's new power that Onyx and she were trying to keep quiet about. The pack members that found out about it promised to keep quiet about her new ability. The new power that Amber had developed over the past few months is telekinesis. It is the power to move things with the mind. So far Amber has developed two different gifts or powers, they are telepathy and telekinesis. Onyx tells Zeus that he thinks she will be formidable in a fight. She has learned that she can freeze someone with her telepathy ability and then move them somewhere else with her telekinesis and unfreeze them. She mostly does it to Onyx and Archer because she thinks it's funny to see the look on their faces when she unfreezes them. They do not like it when she freezes and unfreezes them because they can not get back at her to do the same thing to her.
She has used her gifts on a few of the wolves also. However, she has mostly been using her telekinetic power on inanimate objects to practice with. She can now move things with her hands. Before she had to use her eyes to move things and over time that gave her headaches. Onyx, Clara, and Archer are all debating on what Amber's next gift is going to be. One thinks that it will be pyrokinesis. One believes that it will be to control the weather. The last one seems to think that she will get the power to freeze time.
