Our Love Will Go On.

Four

Sonic and Shadow really enjoyed their time hanging out with each other, they decided they would hang out for a little longer in the house that belonged to Tom, Sonics substitute dad.
Shadow would come over to Sonics attic room and sleep cuddling up to him every night. And sometimes, if Sonic was lucky, he would get something extra at night, the thing leaving him gasping with pleasure.
After 2 weeks Sonic began to feel a little sick, he threw up all over Toms kitchen floor twice one morning. He figured he caught a human virus but after another week of the sickness he asked Tom to take him to a professional vet person who wouldn't freak out upon seeing a blue alien hedgehog running around.
Tom and sonic got in the car, sonic in his usual clothes for when he went in public.
When the duo arrived at the vets office sonic felt the familiar sickness in his throat and quickly located the bathroom and promptly threw up while Tom signed him in and spoke to the vet.
"Okay, Tom and.... Sonic, follow me into this exam room so we can figure out what's going on with you Hmm?" A lady in a white lab coat spoke.
The lady grabbed a needle and wipe and began wiping down Sonics arm.
"W-Wait! Tom? What's she doing? What's that for? I don't- she can't? Tom!"
"It's fine Sonic she's just gonna draw your blood it barely hurts I promise, it's real easy and we can figure out what's wrong with you." Tom spoke patting the hedgehog trying to calm him down.
"No! No, Tom I don't want to, I wanna go home! I don't want my blood drawn it's gonna hurt! I'm scared Tom!" Sonic frantically spoke while looking at Tom.
"And we are done, you even get a yellow band-aid for your arm!" The lab-coat lady spoke cheerily.
"What huh? Your done? Already?" Sonic asked.
"Yes, you were to distracted to notice."
"Huh..."
"Okay, let me run a few blood tests and I'll be back in a few minutes."
The nurse lady left the room leaving Tom and Sonic alone in the room.
Sonic and Tom made some small talk for about 30 minutes until the lady came back.
"Okay, so there's not much abnormalities in your bloodwork, there's just one thing, you have a low glucose level and a higher than normal hormone level, the glucose is because your not eating enough for your body's metabolism, the hormones however are peculiar, you are a male right?"
"Uhhh..... yeah....." Sonic told her.
"Hmm, that's peculiar because your hormone levels are the levels of a female hedgehog who's in her first trimester of pregnancy..."
"Im a boy! That's definitely not possible, right Tom, Boys don't get pregnant!" Sonic insists to the woman.
"Well let's do an ultrasound to see what's going on instead."
The lab-coat lady rolled a large cart over to her patient and grabbed a tube of lube for the machine and the device to put on his stomach.
"This is gonna be a little cold okay."
"Yeah go ahead" the hedgehog told the lady.
She smeared the very much cold gel onto his stomach and started moving the wand around, after a few seconds she found the spot she was looking for and pointed up to the screen showing a black and grey screen with a little blob in the middle.

"You see that? That's a fetus, your pregnant."
Sonic just blinked at the woman, him, a male, pregnant? This woman must be nuts.
"How is this possible Mrs, Sonic is a male?" Tom questioned the lady.
"I'm not sure, as you can see here he has a uterus so I assume it's some kind of hermaphroditism, I'm not sure how he ended up pregnant but now that it's happened he will have to have a cesarean section."
The lady explained before turning to the still shell shocked blue, recently discovered hermaphrodite hedgehog.
"Would you like a picture?"
"Uh, .... Yeah. Yeah, um, can we go home now Tom?" Sonic asked, the poor blue blur looked distant, depressed, and out of it, which worried Tom dearly.
The lady printed out a picture of the ultrasound and gave it to Tom in an envelope and Tom and Sonic got in the car to go home.
"Sonic, who, um who did you, I didn't know you, liked, liked guys? So did you..?" Tom asked, not knowing how to approach the subject.
"There was two guys, I- I don't even- how am I gonna tell Shadow?" Sonic said, mostly to himself.
"Who's Shadow?"
"He's my........ I don't know what he is. He's a hedgehog just like me and we sleep next to each other and cuddle at night but we don't have any labels, how can I tell him?" Sonic began to tear up, quickly the tears began to fall down his cheeks.
"It's gonna be fine bud, if he thinks it's weird me and Maddie will be here for you.
Your like our son." Tom spoke back.
And soon enough the two boys arrived home and Sonic sped straight up to his room, where he would stay for the rest of the night.
Around 11 Pm Sonic was asleep in his newly bought mattress on the floor curled up in a soft blanket when he heard a noise that sounded like a teleport and suddenly there was another hedgehog snuggling up behind him.
"S-Shadow?" Sonic sniffled loudly.
"Baby? What's wrong Love?" Shadow whispered over to his partner.
"What- um, what are we...?" Sonic asked while his voice broke.
"What do you mean? We are... boyfriends? Unless you don't want to be?" Shadow asked.
"We are? You- you'd date me? Really!" Sonics sad demeanor almost instantly switched and he flipped around to Shadow kissing him.
"Love, of course I'd date you, do you think Id come see you every night if I wouldn't?" Shadow told the now happy little hedgehog.
"I guess not, will you cuddle me, just like this?" Sonic asked his newly official boyfriend.
"Of course baby boy."
And the two boys cuddled to sleep in each other's arms.
